coming out about the “whistleblower”–read, Democratic Party activist–who triggered impeachment mania, and it does not put the Democrats in a positive light. The New York Times reports that the “whistleblower” has long been working with Congressional Democrats:
The Democratic head of the House Intelligence Committee, Representative Adam B. Schiff of California, learned about the outlines of a C.I.A. officer’s concerns that President Trump had abused his power days before the officer filed a whistle-blower complaint, according to a spokesman and current and former American officials.
A “spokesman”? I assume that means a Schiff spokesman, although that isn’t clear.
The C.I.A. officer approached a House Intelligence Committee aide with his concerns about Mr. Trump only after he had had a colleague first convey them to the C.I.A.’s top lawyer. Concerned about how that initial avenue for airing his allegations through the C.I.A. was unfolding, the officer then approached the House aide. In both cases, the original accusation was vague.
A striking admission!
The House staff member, following the committee’s procedures, suggested the officer find a lawyer to advise him and meet with an inspector general, with whom he could file a whistle-blower complaint. The aide shared some of what the officer conveyed to Mr. Schiff.
So a great deal has been going on behind the scenes. The complaint was filed in August, so Schiff had known about it for a month and a half before it became public. This means that the leaders of the Democratic Party had lots of time to coordinate the rollout of the impeachment drama. Which, in turn, explains my observation that within hours after Nancy Pelosi announced the launching of an impeachment inquiry, I was getting emails from Democratic politicians with coordinated talking points, demanding that the president be impeached.

The Democrats have effectively impeached themselves.
It is wrong that Trump cannot face his accuser, who is allowed to be secret so Trump’s defense lawyers cannot properly assess whether he has strengths and weaknesses, vulnerabilities, biases and connections (gave to Hillary campaign, furious and wants revenge against Trump for something 10 years ago, his brother worked for Schiff,etc.)
By the way, a “whistleblower” was always supposed to have first hand knowledge, not hearsay. Recently lowered the bar. Now a guy someone heard at a bus stop,heard from a guy at a bar,who knew a guy who knew Trump’s former butler and has the goods on Trump. But he is totally anonymous.
Someday the phony whistleblower will be revealed at the hearing and say “Hi, mom.” and Maxine will say “Hi, son.” No bias there.
The dangerous thing about this situation, if the Dems get away with it, is that the same frame up techniques can be used against any one of us to destroy careers, reputations and steal property under color of law; a situation similar to what our founders suffered. Such tactics applied against a sitting President are certainly called TREASON!
So, it's possible they continue with the impeachment. I guess someone (Schiff, Nadler and lawyers) will write up some fancy sounding stuff and then they will drag out debates for 10 hours and then the big dramatic vote and YES! He's impeached.
Hopefully the Senate, which are not quite as moronic as the House see though this and vote to dismiss all charges without the farce of a trial. But Mitch as said ...

“Facing your accuser” is done in a deposition just before the trial and in the trail That’s in the senate. We aren’t there yet.
Schiff is running closed impeachment hearings under the guise of national security. Pelosi is allowing it to happen. The republicans and trump seem impotent to stop the closed sessions.
Naaaah. It's President Pelosi and her hand-picked VP Hillary Clinton. President Pence was pushed out of office after just a few weeks, once people found out about his collusion with Lichtenstein.

The democrats wanted to impeach The Donald for something - anything - on the day he won the election. It means nothing, it will come to nothing, and everyone knows it.

The collectivists really didn’t think this through.
One, the identity of the WB has to come out. And then there are hundreds of questions that will be asked about what he knew, how he knew, who he knew, when he knew.
Two, the Trump team can come up with rafts of instances where the collectivists made inappropriate contact with other nations, even our enemies. Joe Groper’s video boast of him, and Obama, shaking the Ukrainians for $1B is out there for everyone to see.

It’s certainly not to pass legislation to help the American people, and that’s probably a good thing. This is to fire up their base and get out the vote against Trump. Fortunately, this is dividing their base resulting in a bunch of #walk-aways.
And Americans are tolerating it. Allowing it. They should be grinding those jackasses into hamburger for this skullduggery they’re perpetrating.

The impeachment vote in the house to open the inquiry gives the minority party subpoena powers. This is not an inquiry, it is a ham sandwich standing in front of a muslim “grand jury”.
Until these ASSHATS vote on impeachment they have NO POWER for anything Trump needs to give them ALL the middle finger!!! Pompeo told them all to get SCREWED good for him!!!

I wouldn’t be surprised if they are still auditioning for “whistleblower” and that’s why identity not revealed.
Just as they had auditions for people to run to fill congress seats etc.
