The Ukraine affair: Anti-Trump ‘conservatives’ inside the Beltway are anything but
New Jersey Star-Ledger | September 24 2019 | Paul Mulshine

Posted on 09/24/2019 9:11:58 PM PDT by rintintin

There is a clear ideological split concerning the current kerfuffle over President Trump’s contact with the Ukrainian government.

Liberals say that any effort by the president to pressure Ukrainian officials to investigate the Biden family’s business dealings there represents a violation of law that could lead to impeachment.

We conservatives, on the other hand, believe that the president has wide-ranging powers in the area of foreign policy and any such inquiry on his part was well within those powers.

But then there’s the Washington Post columnist who wrote that “if the facts point to corrupt behavior, impeachment will be a necessity and a political winner for Democrats. And yes, this would be way, way worse than Watergate.”

Where does such a statement lie on the political spectrum? Certainly not on the right side.

Yet the columnist, Jennifer Rubin, is supposed to be the right-winger in the Post’s op-ed staff. Never mind that she is a Berkeley-educated former Hollywood lawyer who has no credentials that any conservative would recognize as right-wing.

Then there’s her fellow Post “conservative” Max Boot. His latest essay is headlined “This may be the worst Trump scandal yet.”

The most amusing such character is Bill Kristol, the former-editor-in chief of the Weekly Standard who keeps holding a one-man Republican presidential primary in his head.

In 2016, he was pushing some obscure National Review writer by the name of David French to run against Trump. This time around he’s pushing Joe Walsh.

I figure China has some super-weird pictures of Bill Kristol in a private context.
His behavior towards Trump is just bizarre.

LMAO. Perfect description.

Mulshine is a good columnist, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that none of the @ssholes he cites here are "conservative" in any way -- and they never have been. They are just propagandists for a war-mongering globalist movement that has infested our government for decades.

“His behavior towards Trump is just bizarre.”

Actually it’s not. Kristol hates Trump because Trump denounced the Iraq War, which Kristol strongly supports. Tucker Carlson documents this in his book. He shows that Kristol was ok with Trump as a candidate until the South Carolina primary, where Trump unloaded on George Bush and the Iraq War. Kristol, the arch-neocon, went ballistic and became a neverTrumper from that moment on.

If you follow his twitter account, you’ll see that what really aggravates Kristol is Trump’s reluctance to start more wars in the Middle East.

Jennifer Rubin is a vile, leftist token Jewish female writer, along with crazy Ruth Marcus, in the Washington Post’s “stable of the unstable journalists” that pollute their Op-Ed pages.

As a Jew who has also been in journalist, professional since 1970, I view Rubin and Marcus as “George Soro” type KAPOS. They write crazy for a paycheck, honest journalism and sane thought be damned.

All of them mentioned in the excerpt are Cheap Labor Express stooges.

What motivates them is Trump’s threat to their life’s work.
They have spent their career advancing the Bush Plan for North Mexico.

The Washington Post was a filthy rage in the 70s. It’s a filthy rag today.

May Katherine Graham rot in hell.

Is her paycheck dependent on having crazy eyes? Didn’t realize it’s all schtick.

"Is her [Rubin's] paycheck dependent on having crazy eyes?"

It's her teeth that make me sick. I get nauseous and have to change the channels whenever she just opens her mouth.
