Details from a phone call made by Donald Trump that has led the U.S. House of Representatives to launch a formal impeachment inquiry against the president isn’t likely to come from a recording or be verbatim, former White House and national security officials say.

Evelyn Farkas, a former deputy assistant secretary of defense during the Obama presidency, said not only would any so-called transcript be based on notes, but it would also likely be incomplete because the note-takers usually do not include issues that could be controversial if they became public.
“Typically a note-taker will write notes about what the principal says in a fashion that does not embarrass their principal,” said Farkas.

No, the whistle blower didn’t hear or get it first hand, even CNN reported that.
That is problem #1 with her remarks.

President Trump is not an idiot. Far from it. He knows that whoever listened to his conversation was/is not a friend and that anything that is ignored or sugar coated will result in a hysterical rage on the part of his accusers.
So I suspect that his report will be word for word.
Obummer had the pleasure of a loving press, so he could skip over items he wished to remain private and she is commenting from that perspective. President Trump certainly is aware of the fact that he does not have a press or a congress that will help him hide pertinent information.

If there are CIA or any other agency/office “note-takers”, you can bet that they know shorthand. That method makes it easier to transcript a verbatim conversation and if two people do it, then you should have nearly complete/complete transcript of what was said.

High level calls are rarely recorded, by agreement of both parties.
Translations are usually done by several translators on both sides as they often disagree and are reconciled after the contact. All translators take notes.
Then a number of staffers listen in to the translators and take their own notes.
You could easily have a dozen people listening in on both sides. All of them having a slightly different take.
Any “whistleblower” could cherry-pick the loose talk that always goes on and leak it.
Calling for impeachment over third hand gossip is just plain silly.
The Dems are desperate and continue their serial whining. The public can see it and many will remember this nonsense on election day.
Why release anything until you hear what the whistleblower knows? Like someone said..it could be all fake news.
