Whole Foods, the grocery chain owned by Amazon, is cutting health care benefits for its part-time workers, a move that could leave about 1,900 of its employees without medical coverage.
Starting next year, Whole Foods employees have to work at least 30 hours a week to qualify for its health care benefits, up from the 20 hours a week it currently requires.
The grocer, which has about 95,000 workers, said it is making the change "to better meet the needs of" its business. Whole Foods said it is helping worker explore full-time jobs at its stores or find other ways to get health care coverage.

Hey...they wanted $15 an hopur, right?
Virtue signaling can be fun!
(but it could be bad for children and other living things...)
Bezos must need some extra cash.
I thought whole foods was the food emporium for smug hippie hipster pseudo intellectual prius driving ecophag democrats
Wonder if it’s a push for Obamacare system that the libs are pimping?.
Next Whole Foods move:
They’re ALL part-time employees!
If a guy wants a living wage to push carts and mop the floors they have to cut somewhere.
And I thought they prided themselves on being liberal, in the operations of the business. They are kicking their own employees off of healthcare coverage. When the Democrats condemn corporations for heartless behaviors, I hope they use this as an example.
Next move after that no employees! Or very little like the Amazon convenience stores.
He has to make up the losses at WaPo somehow. Those commie lib writers arent cheap.

Bernie will probably say something. But all the rest are probably dreaming about the money Bezos might donate to their campaign. So theyll stay silent.
Wonder how Amazon handles their employees health insurance?
Bingomente. A little Spanish lingo there.
It should not pose a problem for those part-time workers to find another part-time job with health-care benefits.
If you raise prices enough, you can even afford health care for employees that don’t work any hours.
I have seen those robots in walmart already. Walmart and the like are going to massively cut their employee count, no doubt. The first deep recession after these retail robots are deployed could be really bad and make 2008-2009 look like a bull market.
Bezos is a RACIST. /s
