‘You’re a child,’ Texas state lawmaker tells Beto O’Rourke after Dem calls his Twitter message...

Briscoe Cain, a member of the Texas House of Representatives, had posted a Twitter message during Thursday’s Democratic debate in Houston, after O’Rourke said he planned to take away high-powered weapons from civilians if elected president.

“Hell yes, we’re gonna take your AR-15,” O’Rourke, a former congressman from El Paso, Texas, said during the debate.

“My AR is ready for you Robert Francis,” Cain responded, using O’Rourke’s birth name.

O’Rourke made it clear he didn’t interpret Cain’s tweet to be a joke.

“This is a death threat, Representative,” O’Rourke wrote. “Clearly, you shouldn’t own an AR-15—and neither should anyone else.”

Cain replied: “You’re a child Robert Francis.”

How desperate for power can he get? He's willing to do AND SAY anything to get power and control.

A Dem will savagely strip innocent patriots of their rights in order to feel the thrill of controlling people.

For the left, a little crotch action will always supersede the Constitution.

The left knows they can’t gut the 2nd ....so, in their infantile minds, a pile of dead bodies as an opportunity.

Without proof, they keep saying "words", especially from a president they despise, are violence.....

Notice the weirdo lefties rarely cite the left-wing violence of Antifa.

The left fights hard for “rights” not even mentioned in the Constitution – abortion, health care, a “free” college education –
than those intrinsic rights specifically singled out for protection from government infringement in the Bill of Rights.

Patriots know these sub-human morons will stoop to any lengths and will regurgitate the most preposterous lies to advance their pathetic political ambitions.

Quite so. To be a leftist means opposing the Constitution.

If a leftist wishes to deprive you of something, it is something to which you have a God-given right.

If a leftist wishes to grant you something, it is something to which you have no right.

“O’Rourke said he planned to take away high-powered weapons from civilians if elected president.”

I figure in a day or two, he will claim that he REALLY said he planned to take away high-powered weapons from mentally ill civilians if elected president, and that it was obvious what he meant.

Some states even disallow 7.62 for deer, big game hunting.

What states don't allow a .30 caliber for deer hunting? A .300 magnum is a 7.62mm. That is enough gun for anything in North America (with the possible exception of a Kodiak brown or polar bear where I'd prefer a .35 or larger bullet).

“An AR-15 is not a high power weapon.”

Not true, The AR-15 is manufactured in a multitude of calibers. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AR_platform_calibers

An AR-15 is not a high power weapon. Most deer hunter won't use it as it is not powerful enough. They consider it inhumane.

Correct. The 5.56mm round was designed to wound and disable more than kill, because you wind up with more of the enemy tied up taking care of the wounded. It will kill, and can cause a lot of internal damage even if it doesn't, but a 30 caliber bullet like a .308 or 7.62mm have more mass and pack a bigger punch.

I think he may be referring to 7.62x39, but even that should be sufficient for deer hunting.

Isn’t there maybe 1 or 2 states that only allow bow and shotgun slugs only?

Yes, it is a death threat an I’m OK with that.

The AR platform comes in many calibers but an AR-15 is 5.56/223. Just as the AR-10 is 7.62/308

Hi.

“What states don’t allow a .30 caliber for deer hunting? “

Don’t know at this point in time.

States change their game laws (season, bag limit, sex etc) each year. I’m just telling the forum that what I posted is my experiences in hunting various states.

If you have experience in harvesting game, you are probably familiar with your state’s game rules and regulations.

Thanks for asking.

5.56mm

The AK-47 has about the same power of a 30-30. It's just a little better than a large pistol. The .308 or 30.06 OTOH, will go through a brick wall or a 10 inch tree.

There has been more deer killed with a 30-30 than any other rifle. The 7.62 x39 wouldn't be my first choice, but it will kill a deer. I wouldn't try a shot more than 100 yards however.

Where I live, a baseball bat is sufficient for deer hunting... but the state recommends at least a .308.

Makes sense but a 7.62x39 and a .30-30 are very similar and .30-30 has been effectively used for decades on deer and bigger game.
