Ronan Farrow reported the Media Lab at MIT concealed its relationship with Jeffrey Epstein as it secretly pocketed at least $1.7 million in his donations far more than the school has admitted publicly. The Media Lab knew the disgraced financier was a convicted sex offender, but still took his gifts and used him as an intermediary with other wealthy donors, including Bill Gates and investor Leon Black, Farrow reported for The New Yorker.Epstein helped secure at least $7.5 million from well-heeled donors for the school, including two million dollars from Gates and $5.5 million from Black, Farrow wrote, citing interviews and dozens of pages of e-mails and other documents from the school. The documents show that while Epstein was listed as disqualified in M.I.Ts official donor database, the Media Lab continued to pocket his cash in secret by marking his contributions as anonymous.

Mostly irrelevant factoid:
The official MIT mascot is the beaver.
“Engineer of the animal world.”
Hey Ronan.....get the NAMES in Epstein’s Black Book and EXPOSE THEM like you did Weinstein! PLEASE!
Leftists, especially academic leftists, will take money from anyone regardless of who and where its from!
When some hands you money - you take it?
Maybe Bernie is right on just this one thing: The wrong people have the most money.
Of course, he’s a millionaire too, only he won’t admit it.
Add to this slime......the widespread college admissions scandal which snared the wealthy and powerful.......and Hollywood denizens.
So now some of his money is used for good.
The official MIT mascot is the beaver.
Not irrelevant for *this* thread, except that most M.I.T. co-eds were too old for his tastes.

I stand corrected.
Gray Beaver is their Senator
Engineer of the animal world.
"And the MIT grad is the animal of the engineering world"
I wonder...I haven’t heard that he was using coeds on his island or whatever it was called but I can’t help but think there was something in it for him.
Good one.
Not original. You had to be there.
I was, eons ago. We wished it were so.
Read this article, and the more detailed New Yorker article by Ronan Farrow, but still unclear what value Epstein was getting for direct donations and helping solicit donations on behalf of others. Not like MIT is a good place to recruit girls.
Maybe Epstein was being directed to make the contribution from the source of his money?
