I think the article linked did not provide the total details. There is a recent book that indicates many in the Catholic Church in the US want him to step down. I don’t think it goes beyond the fact that Pope Francis is not popular with a large part of the Catholic Church in the U.S., the part that actually goes to Mass and has traditionally supported the Papacy financially, i.e Peter’s Pence which is a collection that goes straight to Rome and help Papal initiatives like Mission work in poorer countries, etc. I for one quit giving to it.
Well at least Che Francis has put to rest the idea of Papal Infallibility.

Of course it’s political. Vatican is its own political state/country, kingdom. Here is something interesting: Israel will be the political AND religion Kingdom of God on Earth when Christ returns to set it up. That is what the Old Testament, Matthew through John, Acts before Paul is saved, and Hebrews through Revelation is about. It was prophesied and it WILL happen. It is about a KINGDOM of believers, on Earth, under Christ and with Peter and the 11 Apostles seated on 12 thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Paul’s writings have to do with a BODY of believers, not a kingdom, not political but spiritual, with SPIRITUAL blessings in heavenly places, not earthly therefore no throne for Paul to sit on and no tribe to judge during the Millennial reign of Christ.
Israel will be judged by the 12, with Christ as Head. The Church the Body of Christ will be judging the angels.
Paul, the Apostle of the GENTILES, does not write about a KINGDOM of believers. He wrote about a BODY of believers, the Church, the Body of Christ. Whose blessings are spiritual, not earthly. Israel will be God’s agents on Earth, under Peter and the 11, with Christ as Head. There is no throne for Paul. Because his calling and commission was different from the 12. That’s what ROMANS through Philemon are all about-this BODY of believers, with Christ as Head, judging the angels.
We need a wise loving pope, not another ignorant elitist politician.
