Former Vice President Joe Biden doesnt have to win the Iowa caucuses to capture the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, a senior adviser to his campaign said Tuesday.
Do I think we have to win Iowa? No, the senior adviser told reporters in a briefing, according to Politico.
We think were going to win, the adviser added. We think its going to be a dog fight But we think there are several candidates in this field, theres probably three or four, that are going to go awhile.
The Iowa caucuses will mark the first vote of the 2020 Democratic presidential primary contest and, as such, is seen as a critical test by many campaigns because of its ability to lend candidates early momentum.

Biden will likely not win New Hampshire either or any other very liberal state.
Correct, he doesn’t have to win it to get the Dem Nomination.
He does have to win IA, WI, MN, MI, PA, NH, and NC in 2020.
He might win two of those States
He doesn’t have to win anywhere because he’s been promised the nomination. But then, libs lie.
Biden says there’s big trouble in River City in Ioway!
Polling for a Caucus is more useless than a bicycle is to a fish.
Democrats have ZERO path to victory regardless of the Nominee...
They have set themselves up to repeat the lessons of 1972, in a time where the economy is reminiscent of 1984....
The entire political theater around their primary is laughable.
Its almost like they Democrats looked at the terrible 2016 field of Republican candidates, (short of Trump) and said,
“Democrats would never put up a field of candidates so pathetically weak.....”
and the Democrat’s response was
“Oh Yea?! Hold my beer and watch this.”
No democrat, let alone Biden will win ANY of those listed states in the General election.
Trump will take every state in 2020 he won in 16.
He will win most, if not all states he got over 45% of the vote in but lost in 2016
and he will take the fight to states where he got between 40 and 45% fo the vote in 16, and don’t be surprised if he wins a few of these as well.
Short of a complete economic meltdown or some other major black swan event, there is no path to the white house for any democrat.
Best case scenario is about 15 states and DC... and the more whackadoo their candidate winds up being, they may not even get double digits plus DC.
Have polls for Iowa been generally wrong?
My sense is that they haven’t.
I’m still thinking “3 tickets out of Iowa, 2 out of New Hampshire.”
So he (or any nominee) does need to finish in the top 3 in Iowa, and top 2 in NH.
Probably, but for all of Dinobernie’s “inability” to rise above 20%, he is still the one with the money and the organization, and as others drop out, I think inevitably the more far lefties will gravitate toward him.

No but that may work.
The Democrats believe that Donald Trump won because he was a rich celebrity. They discount the notion that Trump won because he was saying what a vast number of Americans wanted to hear.
So they may try to find a rich female celebrity that could appear moderate to the die hard Democrats. I don’t have an idea who that might be.
What I do know is that there are few Democrats that have the ability to withstand real attacks against them both politically or personally. Being a Democrat means never having to say your are sorry.
They will not be prepared for President Trump in full campaign mode.
Nobody has ever won the Oval office by celebrity.
Bill won cuz Ross Perot!
Thats because he thinks hes in Connecticut.
That theory drops back to the Ophrah W or Michelle O celebrity show-and-spend “draft” in late spring 2020.
I’d really say “draft Hillary” is what most of her supports really want, but medically speaking, her latest images are terrible!
I don’t think he can find the state so why look foolish trying.
