The families of two teenagers who were shot and killed after allegedly trespassing outside a home in Dayton, Ohio, are demanding accountability. The homeowner admitted he shot Javier Harrison and Devin Henderson on Wednesday. Police said the teens may have been involved in drug activity on the property.
Police are trying to determine whether this is a case of justifiable self-defense. Jimmy Harrison, Javier Harrison's father, said the unidentified homeowner knew his son, but police haven't confirmed that.
"I want answers," Jimmy Harrison said.
Harrison said he feels like the shooting was premeditated.
"It wasn't in your house, it was in the garage," Harrison said. "You seeing some perps out there at your garage, you know, so my first instinct is call the police. I feel like he took the law into his own hands."
The homeowner told police he saw a light in his garage Wednesday and found three people sitting inside a car. Police said he fired his revolver multiple times, killing the two teens. The third person ran away but returned when police arrived.

One can only use deadly force if in reasonable fear of immediate serious bodily injury. Three kids sitting in a car in a detached garage does not get one there.
“If he shot them sitting in a car, he is done.”
No.
See #15.
If the police have doubts, then so would a jury. Not guilty.
Of course you might kill a family member that way, but that is a small price to pay for personal safety.
Here's an answer: your punk brat is dead.
And if he just opened fire while they were sitting in the car as the story implies? What then?
Yup. Every time some jerk pumped up on testosterone brags about taking out a thug with his Glock 17, I mention to the moron that behind every one of his 33 rounds, there is a lawyer.
I’m not sure I would buy that story. He didn’t notice that his wife wasn’t in bed?
In the end, I guess it is good enough to be not provable beyond a reasonable doubt.
Yup. See my comment on bullets and lawyers.

Missing a sarcasm tag? That's nuts, unless you despise your family members. There is always retreat if you're worried about personal safety. I'd rather keep my family members alive, thank you.
He has already made statements to the police.
We’ll see what happens.
Two of Obamas Sons.
Some places, not in Texas.
Here if you do anything that could be considered theft or mischief after dark your ass is grass.
And that’s the law.

> He’s in trouble, if there was no weapon on the intruders.
Note to self:
Stop by Goodwill.
Buy a couple of unmatched butcher knives.
Wear rubber gloves.
Agreed.
The homeowner in this story is going to take it on the chin legally. I’d be surprised if he’s not charged with some sort of manslaughter.
Personally, I think someone trespassing and doing drugs in a garage belonging to someone else has no excuse if they get popped. But the law says different.
