Hurricane Dorian battered St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and brushing Puerto Rico. Taking aim at the Florida Atlantic Coastline, Hurricane Dorian is projected to be a major hurricane (Category 3) at landfall.

Shoot! If you was white, we’d want you ded!
Proving that I'm getting all racified from every angel.
I thought that too...blowing hard and coming at Epstein island.
*BUMP*
Ha! Sorry Charlie, but we're about an hour S of Clearwater.
Got a place behind Holden Beach.
We were lucky last year. Just some blown out screens.
Hoping to remain lucky.
I just talked to somefamily members in Orlando........they will update me but for now staying put.
I have evacuated to Orlando twice.......they can get very high winds, power outages, etc, lightning and flooding, tornadoes
I also have family on Cocoa Beach who will have to move inland

He is. I have no idea why his nasty crap posts are allowed at FR.
A bad time to be heading to Charleston?
Living in Merritt Island at that time and the mandatory evacuations issued by the County from at least 2 of those prompted Mrs Prov1322 to want to move to GreenAcres.
I built old-school plywood storm "shutters" which are still in use today by the current owners but not fun to put up.
Tom Terry (WFTV) said he will be live streaming when Dorian is coming into Florida. During hurricane Irma he was great. 96.5 AM radio provided his updates in the midst of the power outages at night. He is very detailed about what to expect by the hour and where to expect it.
Yes, from mid-August to mid-September, it is Yacht Rock season. Christopher Cross, Ambrosia, Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, etc.
Pretty much every major hurricane coincides with Yacht Rock season.
If this path (from CBS website) is correct, I'm dead in the water.
I live in north central Florida, right square in the center of this thing.
My farm is just to the left of the leftmost "3" on the graphic.
It's too soon to know it this is accurate, but it doesn't look good for the homestead.
On the bright side, we'll get plenty of rain to keep the grass growing in the pastures for the cows to eat.
Thanks for the timely information!
I’m in Ft Lauderdale on the water. Have everything we need for prep but have a boat in the water that I might need to secure on Saturday or Sunday AM.
Lovely!
Thanks for the ping, Nauti.
Nice!
