OK, Alexandria, may I call you Alexandria? Here’s what you do. As a member of Congress you have the ability to introduce an amendment to the Constitution of the United States abolishing the Electoral College. You’ll need to convince 2/3 of your House colleagues to vote for your proposal. Then it has to pass the ‘undemocratic’ Senate by the same margin.

But wait, Alexandria, there’s more. It has to be ratified by 38 of the 50 states, which means that 13 of them, many with empty stretches of highways and perhaps lacking large numbers of minorities can block your plan. It really is unfair, isn’t it?

The number of residents fleeing on NY, NJ, Chicago, etc are mounting and being noticed. They're headed for Florida, Utah, Texas and ?Colorado ?, iirc.

I worry that the shift in influence for the short term won't be enough to fix the sh*tholes they're leaving, but may affect the smaller populations in the less populated states to which they're moving.

Long term, it probably would. Long-term it would also likely negate the need to split into 2 states.

And, we can hope those leaving finally realize that liberalism is destroying their home states.
