(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that a federal court has ordered the State of Maryland to produce voter list data for Montgomery County, the state’s biggest county. Sounds good, what do we do with it now? I’m not being sarcastic, I really want to know how we use this to help fight voter fraud

Analyze the data and look for irregularities is the logical next step. After that, I don’t know. Were laws violated? I don’t know enough about election law to know how that might be determined. Time will tell, I suppose...

In other states JW used data to force states to clean voter rolls.

Among other things, you check to see if the same person is registered in multiple places, states, under similar names, if they have been voting while in prison, while dead, after moving to another address/jurisdiction/states, etc. Problems with any of this could show systemic corruption of the registration process and voter rolls.

You can also compare the number of votes cast by precinct with the number of legally registered, active voters.

It will facilitate the removal of inactive registrants. This means that those that are not apt to vote cannot be used to request absentee ballots, have someone vote for them, and other options.

The logical question to ask is why doesn’t the voter registration office keep their roles clean and current according to law? They have a multitude of reasons and none of them are in the interest of free and fair elections.

I agree that there must be a similar “discrepancy” in Baltimore.

However, I think that Judicial Watch took the “easy” path with Montgomery County (only two years of litigation) because it simply can NOT be LEGAL for more votes to be “cast” than there are “registered” voters!

Force them to update the registration roles by purging them of people who are dead, illegal aliens, or have moved out of state.

Thank you Judicial Watch! I would like to see an executive order that automatically requires the production of voter data any time votes cast exceeds the number of registered voters in a given jurisdiction.

JW is well worth my modest monthly contribution.
They have done more towards bringing justice than any
congressional committee I know of.

I have to presume that JD will continue to pursue all this cross checking, as so far no other org/institution seems to be taking this on.

So it was a civil court battle to obtain the voter lists and now it will be another court battle to demand those lists be purged of deadwood, after they are examined to find the dead voters or match to names in other counties....

I get exhausted thinking about all the work that JD has to do to guarantee what our government should already be doing...ensuring that our elections are not full of fraud.
