Anti-Trump Rep. Castro taught a lesson by Texas barbecue lovers who support president
Fox News ^ | August 10,2019 | Todd Starnes

Rep. Joaquin Castro learned a very important life lesson the other day. It turns out the gun-toting, Bible-clinging Trump supporters in San Antonio don’t take kindly to a politician who disrespects their brisket.

The day after Castro published that hateful screed, thousands of Texans piled into their pickup trucks and drove to the nearest Bill Miller Bar-B-Q.

Social media reports flooded in showing massive drive-thru lines backing up onto busy streets. Hungry customers patiently waited in lines out the door.

Castro, D-Texas, recently published a list of President Trump's top San Antonio donors. He also doxed their places of employment.

“Their contributions are fueling a campaign of hate that labels Hispanic immigrants as ‘invaders’,” Castro wrote on Twitter.

One of the businesses the congressman targeted for political retribution was Bill Miller Bar-B-Q, one of the most popular brisket and sweet tea joints in San Antonio.

For those of you north of the Mason-Dixon line, eating brisket is something of a worship experience. I’ve heard stories from the Hill Country that some Baptist churches in those parts actually serve brisket and sweet tea for the Lord’s Supper.

Castro must have imagined thousands of San Antonians converging on the barbecue joints armed with torches and pitchforks, terrorizing customers in the drive-thru and staging boycotts. He must have dreamed about literally running the pit masters out of town.

But there are some rules about living in the Lone Star State. You go to church on Sunday. You don’t talk bad about somebody’s momma. And you don’t mess with the brisket.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted a photograph of a plate piled high with barbecue noting it was a “perfect night for @BillMillerBarBQ.”

Boy I hope that’s not true.

But I was shocked by that senate election.

Beto is a joke. Even with msm help and with Cruz not running a strong reelection candidacy, he should have won easily.

“Texas is turning blue...and not in a slow way. Cruz had a hard time winning against an overgrown teenager whose ideas would make Karl Marx proud.”

Cruz’s biggest problem was his ego. The governor still won by 13 points. Thankfully Cruz will be in office for 6 more years, but given our demographic trends, combined with his ego, politics is over for him after that.

The Castros should be refused service when they try to get some of that great Texas BBQ.

Do not feed the Trump haters.

Cruz is not well liked, especially after acting like a 5-year-old by withholding his endorsement of Trump at the convention. This was a fluke election, but thankfully Texas is still red enough to overcome several hundred thousand Rs not voting for a Senate candidate.

Oh, and Joaquin Castro and his equally puto brother can go to Hell.

Parasites can get away with their cheating while hiding within a larger, very different and successful system. But they can never subsist on their own.

Exhibit A: Progressivism.

Worthless Henry Gonzalez was the Congressman for San Antonio for 40+ years - they even named the convention center after him. Most elections he ran unopposed.

This was a fluke election,

2018
Cruz* (R) 4,260,553 (50.9%)
Beto (D) 4,045,632 (48.3%)

2016
Trump (R) 4,685,047 (52.2%)
Hillary (D) 3,877,868 (43.2%)

A jump of only 168,000 voters (4.3%) by the motivated Ds, and a midterm drop of 425,000 Rs (9.1%) that were motivated to be anti-Hillary in 2016, but not motivated much by Cruz in 2018. (Typical mid-term election turnout is usually down around 17% from the Presidential cycles.)

The Libertarians are the one who got destroyed in Texas... 283,000 votes in 2016, and only 65,000 in 2018... a loss of 77%!

It all started back in the 90’s when NYC targeted Microsoft in the infamous “Browser Wars”.
Microsoft settled and then became one of the DNC’s biggest supporters.

Suddenly the lawsuits went away.
Then they did the same thing to Intel.
Intel paid the $$$ and the lawsuits vanished.

I can still remember the LBJ jokes from my ute:

Jose finds Juan crying, sitting on a street corner.
Jose:Why are you crying,Juan?
Juan:My abuello (grandpa) came back from the dead to vote for LBJ but didn't even come to see me.

I don’t like this because conservatives are twisting this into some positive thing due to a democrat dirty trick. Yeah it’s great the guy is getting good business, good for him, meanwhile Castro is walking free and the pressure is off him. ‘We’ showed him by buying some BBQ? Look out, conservatives on the warpath!

He and his brother are both La Raza supporters. They both push the idea that Texas and several other States should be returned to Mexico and that they should be ruled by Hispanics. ....Each of them is a large POS!

Exactly what do you call BBQ?

Hint: It’s not grilling meat of any kind ...

You made me break out my missive.

BBQs are animals, not, a way of cooking meat.

They are pink, porcine looking creatures that walk about on two legs with a top hat, a walking stick and sometimes a Tux.

While smiling a lot, they can be rather fierce, specially if they have been eating lots of peppers, vinegar, mustard, or other hot spices.

If you should fear confrontation from a BBQ, one should have a fork and plate ready, with a loaf of bread, Brunswick Stew or rice hash, and a large Sweetened Iced Tea. Armed thus, the BBQ will vanish pretty quick.
