Last year, Marchant only won reelection by a three percentage point margin.

WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Kenny Marchant will not seek reelection in 2020, two sources confirmed to The Texas Tribune late Sunday.

He is the fourth member of the Texas delegation to announce his retirement in recent days. Marchant's decision was first reported by The New York Times.

Marchant, who was elected to Congress in 2004, is a founding member of the House Tea Party Caucus. He represents Texas’ 24th Congressional District, which spans the northern suburbs of Fort Worth and Dallas. The district has historically been reliably red, but Marchant’s margins of victory have grown thinner in recent elections. In 2016, he won by a comfortable two-digit margin. Last year, Marchant squeaked by with a 3 point win over Democrat Jan McDowell.

A RINO is a ‘Rat. But you’ve been told that repeatedly.

Not nearly as good as you think. A wee bit too establishment as it turned out.

But it is not true. The party that has 50% plus 1 is the party in power. You can either have McConnell or Schumer pushing through the judges. It’s a no-brained; I’ll take McConnell.

The ACU gave Pete Sessions a 90-100 rating. A total RINO
The ACU gave Jeff Flake a 90-100 rating. Same

Why would you trust them? Kenny Marchant had a 67% from Conservative Review. A solid D, Kenny

Why is this a problem? Why aren’t there Freepers ready and willing to announce?

OK what is a better overall metric for rating conservatives than ACU?

Is this like the mid-terms when RINOs all retired to give the House to the Dems because they hated Trump or is this just a regular run of the mill retirement?

Well, let’s look at Kenny Marchant’s votes. go to the website and click on the rep your interested in.

https://www.conservativereview.com/scorecard/kenny-marchant/

You can see how Kenny voted on each issue and compare it to what the Conservative Review folks think is ‘conservative’.

Kenny is/was not very conservative.

With respect to the Senate, if you have a 51R-49D majority and 2 of those Rs are RINOs, the Democrats are the actual voting majority while the GOP gets blamed for all the failures of their pyrrhic “majority.”

Unless your Republicans vote Conservative, all you are doing is electing Democrats under the “R” banner. Not only less than useless, it is self-destructive to the party, and the Democrats benefit from it across the board.

The question Is: do you want McConnell in charge of judges, or Schumer?

Did you read the prior post ? If you’ve got Republicans voting as Democrats, how will that help Conservatism, pray tell ?

Do you see Democrats backing Conservatives running as Democrats to win office ? Of course not ! Because they’d be voting like Republicans, hence voting against the party.

See how that works ?
