The liberals are having a hissy fit over Trump’s comments but my guess is that most that live in or near Baltimore are agreeing with his comments.
The left needs to be worried when their constituents start agreeing with Trump.
The problem is that Democrats are incapable of solving problems, only of creating them.
For example, there’s a proven cure for residents defacing property, throwing garbage out of windows, etc. It’s the “Zero Tolerance” approach used with great effect by Rudy Giuliani when he was transforming the crime-ridden City of New York into a civilized place where residents didn’t fear being mugged if they walked down the street.
Rudy was a Republican. There is no chance of a Republican being elected in Baltimore or any other major city today, including Rudy Giuliani’s New York. Those cities have one-party Socialist dictatorships, like North Korea or Venezuela.
If Baltimore continues to deteriorate on its way to becoming another Venezuela, would the mayor of Baltimore call in the National Guard to help feed its residents? If New York City’s electrical grid continues to become overloaded, causing black-outs, will the mayor of New York even admit there’s a problem? Doubtful, because Democrats don’t solve problems, they only make them worse.
I once attended a track and field event at a stadium in South Korea. Everyone cleans up their own trash and disposes it properly before leaving. Can you imagine that at an American stadium? In this comparison, as with the comparison of urban and suburban Baltimore, it all comes down to the local culture.
Perhaps it has something to do with the inhabitants?
This tax situation is my reason for abolishing the tax code and enacting a consumer tax!! This way EVERYONE pays taxes the wealthy buys more expensive goods and will be paying more AND the people on the government dole also have some skin in the game when they purchase their $300.00 Nike Jordan shoes they WILL BE contributing to the FED tax system!!
I think New York City has been pretty clean since the Koch Administration! If you look at films from the 60s under Lindsay (as you point out with The Out of Towners or John Cassavette movies), you’re shocked at how dirty it is. Not now. During the height of the tourist season in summer, I will say the garbage starts piling up a bit with dropped pizza plates and plastic plates and forks. But that is not the fault of New York, though. Some tourists treat the city like it is a pig sty.
Baltimore, like most cities, has an ignored inner-city that drags down all the good statistics. I don’t dislike Baltimore because we have friends there and visit regularly. But, then, I like cities generally.

Baltimore will never lose it’s well earned Third World Craphole status until the RATs who have infested City Hall are completely removed from power and influence.

Memphis has a HUGE home Trash Pick up issue despite that the citizens pay extra for the pick up, the companies the city hires always Fail to actually do the Pick ups. They streets actually look better. Then they De Annexed several areas who are on their own with no government, no EMT, Fire, Police except county, and NO Trash removal and they still have to pay property taxes to Memphis for several years.
Seriously, you should move.
