So now, you answer these: Did Jesus give anyone that shroud? Do you have a clear chain of custody of it from the tomb?
“OK, I’ll play. If Jesus Himself gave me something I would cherish it; but, shame on me I I advertised it to have healing properties.”
I don’t know of anyone who “advertises” that about the shroud. But what if it was used for healing? So is the Holy Spirit guilty of advertising healing properties of relics (2 Kings 13:21)?
“So now, you answer these: Did Jesus give anyone that shroud?”
Yes. He left it in the tomb knowing it would be found by the Apostles, Disciples and His family.
“Do you have a clear chain of custody of it from the tomb?”
No. Then again we don’t have the autographs of scripture or even second copies either. Does that mean you discount scripture? No, instead you believe much of what the Church teaches about scripture while denying the Church anyway.
Ive seen no one official, or really anyone unofficial, except skeptics, ever make the claim the Shroud has the ability to heal anyone or anything. The skeptics always claim someone somewhere said it, but conveniently never offer a citation.
