I suspect that the later promise of the Church, extending the promise to *everyone* who wears the scapula, might be a case of getting overenthusiastic.

How kind of you to use such a euphemism; but it still stands that the original 'promise' said, "ANYONE."

Stop taking individual words out of context.

The earlier posts, said the original promise by the Apparition, was solely to the carmelites; and it was the Church later on, not the apparition, which extended the promise to "anyone."

There's a difference.

If someone else exaggerates what I say, that doesn't retroactively boomerang to make ME a liar.

...did you miss my earlier post about "do you have any kids"?
