Hold this be the same tanker seized by the IRG for smuggling Iranian fuel a week ago?
Very hard to say if this is a set up, the IRG busting an Iranian smuggling operation or just an attempt to seizure of a Western tanker conveniently near Iran.
I would go slow on this one.
According to AIS, a second tanker, MV Mesdar also bound for Saudi Arabia made sudden turn and now heading towards Iran.
Mesdar is Liberian-flagged but British owned

Hard to know what part of the power structures in Iran are calling the shots in this episode. There are rogue elements with distinct and opposing agendas so this is tricky.
How many provocations? How many American soldier deaths? How many times do we endure seeing footage of our sailors humiliated at gun point? How many tankers, hostages, drones...
I sure don't want yet another war, but at some point bullies need to be punched in the nose. Iran is such a bully. They understand power..that's it.
