Please, don’t hold back...

I don’t wish anyone an actual eternity in hell, just wish that the threat of it would cause behavioral modification to occur...

Another in a long list of justices the Republicans nominated that turned liberal. Terrible track record. How many liberals have the Dems appointed that turned to the conservative side?

Why don’t liberal appointees ever turn out to be conservative?

Because to them it's a religion worn on their shirtsleeves. To us it's someone who claims they are an originalist and they never pledge to be "conservative" and then they turn.

Interesting fact about Stevens. He was a cryptanalyst during WW II, and was awarded a Bronze Star for his service in the codebreaking team whose work led to the downing of Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto’s plane in 1943.

I can’t imagine a modern RAT Scotus pick going “rouge” like one of ours can.

I have much more respect for someone who says “Repeal the 2nd amendment” than someone who just wants to ignore it and pass gun control anyway.

Unfortunately Stephens (and everyone else who wants to repeal 2A) only turned to the former position after the later didn’t work out for them.

The legacy of Gerald Ford, who defended the pick to his dying day.

Alleged to be a Republican. If he’s voted for any Republican since Ford then I’m the god damn tooth fairy.

RIP to the victims of filthy criminals who could have saved themselves if people like Justice Stevens allowed them to have guns of their own. RIP to the victims of terrorists that Stephen’s thought deserve constitutional rights. RIP to the countless unborn he was fine with liquidating. RIP to the Fort Trumball neighborhood that Stevens said New London Connecticut could tear down to build a mall or whatever (it never happened, the land is still vacant).

And yes, I realize I inadvertently spelled his name 2 different ways. He’s not worthy of me giving a damn about that.

Technically a Republican as an appointee, but obviously not in practice. Had he been a loyal Republican, he’d have retired under Shrub and let him appoint a successor. He deliberately waited for a Demonrat.

Unfortunately, Byron White, despite being center-right, also waited to retire until Clintoon and was succeeded by Ruth Buzzi Ginsburg. GHW Bush could’ve similarly appointed a non-moonbat here.

Thurgood Marshall could’ve held out to January 1993 when he died to get what would’ve been a Black Communist successor, he only retired in ‘91 because of declining health and was no doubt very pissed to be succeeded by the judicial giant Clarence Thomas.

“Why do these evil bastards live so long?”

Because God is gracious beyond our comprehension. I think He gives every chance to repent.

>>Why don’t liberal appointees ever turn out to be conservative?<<

I’m guessing bribes and media adoration. Inherit the world, lose your soul kinda thing.
