RUSH: Holy smokes, folks, Nancy Pelosi’s getting a dose. She is getting some treatment, the kind of treatment we usually get. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is accusing Pelosi of racism. She says Pelosi has a bias and is singling out freshman women of color. And, of course, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believes that she is a person of color and that Pelosi is singling her out.
The Drive-By Media doesn’t know what to make of this. The Drive-By Media desperately wants Democrat unity. The Drive-By Media has been running the Democrat Party. Do not doubt me on this, folks. The Drive-By Media, I really believe, has been the energy behind the Democrat Party for a long time. It used to be the Drive-By Media was an adjunct, a branch office, if you will. I think they are headquarters. I don’t think there’s any question about it.
And the Drive-By Media is unable to maintain unity. You know how they’ve tried to maintain unity on the Democrat side? Just by focusing on get Trump, get Trump, get Trump, because that’s what they think will unify the rest of the party. That’s why they’re already doing countdowns to the Mueller testimony next Wednesday, while a number of people on Mueller’s side and the DOJ are trying to weasel out of the appearance.

I’m not a big fan of Nancy Pelosi - but I’m going to defend her... the woman is NOT a bigot. She not a racist, she’s not a homophobe, she’s NOT nuts like a lot of the more radical democrats.

While I can’t take exception with any of the items you cited, I’m not going to defend Pelosi either. I did a detail at the White House immediately following 9/11 and I had the occasion to brief Pelosi several times from 9/2001 to 5/2003. At the time, she was the ranking Democrat on the HPSCI; Porter Goss was the Chairman.
I can honestly say that, while Pelosi is politically cunning and calculating, in terms of intellect, she is one of the dumbest human beings I’ve ever met. My briefings to Pelosi, Goss and other members of the HPSCI were classified and on subjects with which Pelosi should have been familiar, particularly since they were dumbed down to eliminate especially sensitive details. Her understanding of those subjects was damned near nonexistent and her questions embarrassed me and other members of the committee; it was like watching the antics of Lucille Ball on an early episode of “I Love Lucy”.
All that aside, I’m taking great pleasure in the infighting that’s emerging within the Democrat Party and I wish them all the ill will I can possibly muster.
I never, ever thought that in a political dispute, I would agree with Nancy Pelosi - but here it is.

Cortez has been greatly over-valued and will be knocked down by people a lot smarter than her.
