President Trump’s push to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census is an attempt to “make America white again,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Monday, co-opting his campaign slogan.
She also said there will likely be a vote to hold the Commerce secretary in contempt of Congress for refusing to detail his decision-making on why he tried to add the citizenship question to next year’s count.
And she said even as the courts rule on Mr. Trump’s renewed efforts to include the question, Congress will try to boost the amount of money spent on the census in order to boost the count.
“What they want to do is put a chilling effect so certain populations will not answer the form,” Mrs. Pelosi said in California, speaking at an event trying to push election security reforms.

Correct me if I am wrong. Hasn’t a version of this question been on every census up until 2010 when the Obama Administration deep sixed it? Seems to any reasonable person that we should know who is legal or illegal to determine Congressional districts. Pelousy is just spewing crap!

More than that, only citizens earn members in the house of representatives.
Now if illegals refuse to let themselves be counted by the census, then states with large numbers of them could lose seats.
Black Americans are citizens and should have no trouble checking the U.S. citizen box. Don’t think they are counted as white.
If the citizenship question is not on the census, then states with more illegal immigrants will get additional representatives in Congress, right? No wonder the Dems are against it.
