Stunning North Korean propaganda film shows Trump's critics are wrong
American Thinker ^ | 07/03/2019 | Thomas Lifson

The Fanatic Trump-haters in the media are once again proven wrong, as the North Korean media are stoking public expectations of a deal that will improve their lives. Far from a photo-op that strengthens Kim and denigrates Trump and the USA, the regime's propaganda is stoking North Korean public expectations of a successful denuclearization deal. It also features President Trump as a wise and courageous leader.

A remarkable 16-minute North Korean propaganda video has been subtitled and posted to YouTube, and the tone, narration, music, and cinematography all point to efforts to sell the public on a new era that is forthcoming.

It goes without saying that not a word of propaganda would be issued without careful consideration of its political ramifications, so we can take the narrator's words as reflecting exactly what Kim Jong-un and the Politburo of the party want the people of North Korea to hear...and believe.

The entire film is embedded below, but here are a few screen grabs showing the narration in subtitles at key points.

As the film ends, the narrator expresses surprise at the trust that "we did not expect" while Kim enters his limo (that appears to be a Lincoln, not the Mercedes he formerly used) and drives away.

This film will make it harder for the North Koreans to stonewall, now that they have raised expectations, though the regime is certainly capable of reversing course and switching its propaganda line. Nonetheless, it suggests a sincere effort on Kim's part to achieve a deal that would accept security guarantees and a combination of aid and investment and the resulting prosperity, in return for a timetable for a nuclear stand-down.

Exactly. At one point Saturday night I was watching a South Korean News Channel with a live feed because I could not find a feed from a US news outlet. I don’t have cable or satellite.

The NK media doesn’t hate America as much as our media does.

How disgusting is this? (but true).

If you didn’t know the name of this video, posted july 1 on youtube, you would have a hell of a time finding it by searching for “north korea.”

Quite the video. It’s hard to imagine, with this type of publication, that North Korea would backtrack after this. It would be an obvious betrayal of the process. They’re publicly stating “denuclearization” is the goal and to end the poor history between them and us. Very powerful.

The problem is that while our definition of "denuclearization" is Kim giving up his nuclear weapons, they've repeatedly stated that their definition includes the elimination of all nuclear threats to them, including the removal of US nuclear weapons from Japan, and the exclusion of South Korea from our nuclear umbrella, breaking our pact with them. What they officially stated a few months ago was, “When we refer to the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, it, therefore, means removing all elements of nuclear threats from the areas of both the north and the south of Korea and also from surrounding areas from where the Korean peninsula is targeted.”

If you have not done so, read his books.

THIS video, if it goes viral (hint-hint) could guarantee MAGA* supremacy for the next hundred years (to paraphrase LBJ on civil rights laws)

‘Republican’ is way too inclusive because of some dolts using that label. So I’ll identify as a MAGAnian from now on ... just to avoid confusion

In other words, the only people who oppose our success in North Korea is the CIA and the US media. But I repeat myself.

NK devices have no internet access, but they do have USB ports, and 100,000 thumb drives have been smuggled into NK over the past couple years,...

About 20 years ago a friend of mine said the best thing we could do for NK would be to airdrop thousands of scoped rifles w/ammo all across NK. Who would have thought thought that thumb drives would have an affect even greater?

It kind of hearkens back to the saying "the pen is mightier than the sword."

No doubt in my mind that Trump is fully aware of this development and instinctively grasped its consequences and potential.

Our President has given little Kim a way forward to make N Korea great, not again, but for the first time. This film makes it seem that little Kim might actually be considering it. For the sake of the suffering citizens of this brutal regime, let’s hope it happens in our lifetime.

That’s a very well done, and fairly balanced, video. The Norks are definitely trying to move forward in our relationship with them. Just hope lil’ kim can hold on long enough to do it before any generals take him out. But then again, if they did, North Korea would collapse pretty quick. So either way, Trump and the US comes out a winner.
