PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Spoke with Nancy Pelosi and we had a good conversation having to do with the bil. And we are moving along very well with the bipartisan bill in the Senate. Spoke with Mitch, spoke to a lot of people, we're doing very well. It's very far along and I believe that House is going to also be getting together with the Senate, hopefully they can get something done. It's humanitarian aid, it's very important and I think that a lot of people are starting to realize that I was right when I said we have a crisis at the border.
Everyone's saying now we had a crisis at the border wasn't a manufactured crisis which they were saying, it wasn't manufactured at all. We have a crisis at the border. We can solve the problem if they would change some of the rules and regulations, change asylum, change so many different things. The loopholes, in particular, could be done very quickly and you wouldn't have this problem. I've been saying it for a year and a half, I've been saying you have to change the loopholes, you have to change asylum. You wouldn't have this problem.
They're not working to that unfortunately today. What they're working on is aid, it's humanitarian aid for the children. It seems that the Senate is very close. I think that Nancy wants to get something done and the Senate and the House will get together. I'm heading, as you know, and some of your coming with me, I'm heading to Japan, Osaka. And were going to be meeting with a lot of different countries, many of whom have been taking advantage of the United States but not so much anymore, and soon not at all anymore.

Trump is basically trying to wait to act until he knows he has more popular support, I’m not sure that’s the right approach.

“Humanitarian crisis” is just code for more entitlements given to the border jumpers. What the hell is he doing?
They may realize there is a crisis on the border but it is not the same crisis in both their view.
Trump sees it as what it is, a crisis of invasion.
Nutty nan and her gang see it as a crisis of not having a well funded welcome wagon.
What they’re working on is aid, it’s humanitarian aid for the children.

He’s been acting all along and getting stopped by the courts and the Rats in Congress.
Build a wall? Some Obama corrupticon issues an injunction.
Call out ICE? Same thing. Followed by absurd threats to abolish the agency.
Remember also that for 2 years he had the Mueller coup attempt to deal with. It kneecapped him.
It also led to a Democrat Congress. What could have been done with him pushing a Republican Congress and no fear of the illegitimate coup plot?
The history of America will point to the coup itself as the turning point if we end up as just a Mexican thugocracy.
Just watched Tim Ryan, congressman from Ohio whose hat is in the ring for the Dem nomination for president. He’s not at all for fixing the laws. He thinks we ought to address the problem at the root, ie, in the countries whose living conditions are so dreadful, that its citizens are fleeing here.
Of course, he didn’t get into any specifics. Just what can we do? Give them more money? Will that get rid of the gangs that de facto run those countries? Give the money to those in power so that they can get rid of the gangs?
Well, there’s no way that can happen. Bottom line for me is their problems are their problems. They should not be US problems. We have no business meddling in their governments, and throwing money at them has never proven to be a good investment.
We need to protect our own country, including a wall, and let the other countries sort out their own problems.
We need to stop the invasions.
Sorry, all the threats he made to close the border along with the 'we made a deal with Mexico' have led to this... mo money magnate??
The aid is to assist OUR guys and gals working at the border trying to conquer some of the problems.
The legislation passed.
Trump is taking one step at a time....and that's what has to happen.
This is nothing but a rat voter drive. When Trump says things like this it makes me think he does not realize it.
Those countries are corrupt, not wasting the US taxpayers dollars on that.
What’s remarkable is the total lack of media coverage of what’s actually occurring in these countries as the crime rate seems to be dropping yet hundreds of thousands are leaving. These are economic migrants. This is an abuse of the asylum law but since the Democrats get more votes from it, it remains.
So much dishonesty.
