The installation of 11 new miles of border wall began on Thursday in Calexico, California.
The project includes the construction of 30-foot tall steel bollards and what the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency says are technology improvements... The construction start for this project was announced earlier this month, along with the new border wall project in Tecate, California.
Construction for both of these projects, which total approximately 15 miles, is anticipated to continue into 2020 and are funded under a 2018 appropriation separate from President Trump's National Emergency Declaration.

More mighty 30 foot bollards - plus tech and patrol road.
GOAT POTUS
*APPLAUSE* MAGA! :)
Good to hear. If you have a wall construction ping list, please add me.
That looks like a nice, smooth, 50 foot long ramp going to the top of the fence. Won’t that be easy to climb?
It’s so hard to get a clear picture of how much has been replaced, how much has been built new, how much more is planned and how much is needed overall. Just difficult to track the progress.
There better be forces to protect that part of the Wall. Otherwise, the People’s Republic of Kalifornia will destroy it.
Do you or any other Freeper know how far inside the USA the wall is being constructed?
Wish we were getting ‘A Big Beautiful Wall’

Skip to about the 3:30 or 4:00 minute mark.
Thats a brace to hold until the concrete dries
Thank you so much for posting these updates. The MSM does not like to report on wall progress of any kind. They either don’t or twist it somehow.
Won’t that hurt their democrat voter registration?
Not sure what you are referring to, I see a crane boom and what is likely the front part of track hoe holding fence in place for welding.
Very slow startup. Trump may fall short of his stated 400 miles of wall by end of 2020.
New wall could be built cheaply and fast with the 18 ft bollard wall by Fisher. Easy terrain like the New Mexico to Sierra Vista AZ will rack up 250 or so miles. Average 4 mil per mile for total contract of 1 billion dollars. Leave 30 ft walls for populated areas. At 1 mile per day, done in 8 months.
“how far inside the USA the wall is being constructed?”
Generally, it is just several feet in on the US side.
That great, big diagonal brown thing from lower left to the top of the wall.
Thanks for the Info.
Any added wall is an improvement. But stop and look at all the setback Trump has gone through to get any piece of wall built. The turtle and the heir congress has slowed the move forward.
The camera shot is producing the illusion of a ramp. It's just the wall running to the side into the distance.
The politics will work against him. Seems like all contracts are going to populated areas with 30 ft walls with slow construction and high costs.
NM border west of Sunland/Santa Teresa is flat and ranchland. Let Fisher scream through New Mexico and flat eastern part of AZ until the mountains.
Trump is fighting to get crumbs. Dollars may be exhausted well before election with only high cost wall.
