Wednesday on MSNBC’s Democratic Candidates’ Debate, 2020 hopeful Mayor of New York City Bill de Blasio said the Democratic Party has to fix income inequality with a “70% tax rate on the wealthy” and free college for young people.
De Blasio said, “We have been addressing income inequality in New York City by raising wages by raising benefits and putting money back in the hands of the people with $15 minimum wage, paid sick days, pre-k for all. Things that are making a difference in people’s lives. What we are hearing in the first round is that battle for the heart and soul of our party. I want to make it clear. This is supposed to be the party of working people. Yes, we are supposed to be for 70% tax rate on the wealthy. Yes, we are supposed for free college, free public college for young people.We are supposed to break up big corporations when they are not serving our democracy.”

deblobio is nothing but a boisterous loud mouthed communist. He proclaimed to the world that he has a black child and that the child is in danger of being shot by racist White cops.
He is by far the worst possible candidate.
Government can’t produce wealth, sustain wealth, or even redistribute wealth. It can only destroy wealth—or—stay out of the way and let the productive segments of our free-market economy produce it.
I would like to see the candidates answer:
What should the minimum tax rate that has to be paid by all be set to in the US?
and likewise
What should the maximum tax rate be?
I keep saying we need to meet the Democrats half way in a reasonable compromise.
Tax Democrats at 70%.
Confiscate guns from all Democrats.
Do not allow them to use jets, gas-powered cars, or any product or service that adds carbon to the environment.
Then they will be half way to their Utopia and we can observe for 8-12 years the positive benefits to see if any further adoption of their ideas is worthy of consideration.
