Joe Biden on Wednesday doubled down on his statements about working with segregationist senators, telling reporters that he has nothing to be sorry for. Biden dismissed criticism of the comments, including from fellow Democratic presidential candidates such as Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, who called on Biden to apologize. "Apologize for what? Cory should apologize," Biden said. "He knows better. There's not a racist bone in my body."The former vice president cited his past voting record and his work on the Voting Rights Act while head of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Biden claimed he didn't have to like someone else's views to make his case and beat them.

In a sane world, Biden is correct. Being able to deal with people you disagree with, isn’t anything to apologize for.
Sadly, thanks largely to his own party, the world is no longer sane.
Hmmm??? Good move by BiteMe?
Separates him from the loonies... not sure he’s that smart though.
“Biden brought up the names of Sens. James Eastland of Mississippi and Herman Talmadge of Georgia, both Democrats who were staunchly opposed to desegregation.
The media will try to bury this information”
Rush discussed this yesterday in regards to some leftist “CNN info babe” Poppy Harlow (I kid you not) whom let some Racist NYT Reporter refer to these two Racist Senators of the past as Republicans. His theory was she was just covering up the lie knowing they wouldn’t be called on the carpet, or she is just truly ignorant and typical of what Journalism schools are churning our.
The slime-ball MSM never mention that Biden’s comments were about working with DEMONRATS to get things done!
All those evil racists he had to work with were in his own party.
[[[Biden said he reached across the aisle to work with these segregationists but they were Democrats.]]]
LOL. A gaff within a gaff. An onion gaff. A multilayered gaff. A gaff for all seasons. A multilevel gaff. A stepped gaff. A tiered gaff.
Not used to being called names?.
Hahaha
Biden knows how to deal with fellow D crooks, the conservative response would have been a long winded guilty sounding essay that would cure insomnia.
So who is now the person they will back. Only person who could beat trump is sanders
Cory booker is a black man who has had white privilege his whole life, he fools no one except the idiots that follow him

Joe won’t even know what hit him when they pile on. He’s an old White haired man- going nowhere in the Dem Party.
“Apologize!”
“No, you appologize.”
“You appologize.”
“You appologize.”
“Mooooom!”
They are like a car full of 6 year old kids.

“”but jeez this crap is getting old.””
It certainly is and sure makes you wonder why they insist on peddling it.

Racist is now a meaningless word. When it is use I assume the person has lost the argument and has nothing.
As much as I love to see Joe Biden in trouble, he is right on this issue.
It is the Far Left and the Media who is on a cultural warpath against Southerners these past many years.
We are all creatures of our times. The times were different then.
And Social Justice Warriors need to be smacked down, not kowtowed to.
No, Biden said this. He really did. Here’s the quote:
“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” Biden said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

Some Delaware history:
“By the end of the colonial period, the number of enslaved people in Delaware began to decline. Shifts in the agriculture economy from tobacco to mixed farming resulted in less need for slaves’ labor. In addition local Methodists and Quakers encouraged slaveholders to free their slaves following the American Revolution, and many did so in a surge of individual manumissions for idealistic reasons. By 1810 three-quarters of all blacks in Delaware were free. When John Dickinson freed his slaves in 1777, he was Delaware’s largest slave owner with 37 slaves. By 1860, the largest slaveholder owned 16 slaves.
“Although attempts to abolish slavery failed by narrow margins in the legislature, in practical terms, the state had mostly ended the practice. By the 1860 census on the verge of the Civil War, 91.7% of the black population were free; 1,798 were slaves, as compared to 19,829 ‘free colored persons’.”
