I don’t think they’re going to be able to sell that in Trump’s economy.

Sounds great until you realize it’s used to fund their little projects. You know all that community organizing.

Senators Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) introduced the Long-Term Unemployment Act__ on Thursday. The bill would create a federal program designed to generate jobs for people who have been out of work for at least six months.
****************************************************
Gee, Ive got an idea.... have these long term unemployed go and apply at the numerous locations where Help Wanted and Hiring signs are posted...theyre everywhere. And, Senators, its the UNLEASHED private enterprise economy creating these jobs, NOT GOVERNMENT!

Destroy sustainable jobs for people who want to work to create unsustainable jobs for people who don’t want to work.
Sounds like a plan!

Drive around any business district. Tons of “Help Wanted” signs out there. Just another case of Democrats dishing out cash in exchange for votes.

These and many other senators are economic illiterates.

Those tax cuts didn’t exist for a very very long time prior to Trump and somehow this program only comes up now...hmmm

Cheaper to buy them off with welfare. I'm not saying I support it, I'm merely observing that it's cheaper. A jobs program, especially one administered by lefties but I repeat myself, would cost the tax payer 100K$ per job that paid out 25K$.
