There's no room for Columbus Day in Columbus, Ohio. Or for George Washington in George Washington High School.
There’s plans in the works to cover a mural of George Washington from the halls of George Washington High School in San Francisco due to complaints that it’s offensive and demeaning to Native Americans and African Americans.
The San Francisco school board is expected to decide next week whether to cover the image or paint over it, but there’s no plans among top officials to leave the imagery in the open for students to view, according to several Bay Area news reports.

The mural will be replaced by photographs of homeless people on the sidewalks and photographs of San Francisco streets and sidewalks littered with used needles and feces.

Ironically, the mural actually is intended to take down Washington and frontiersmen, by showing them trampling callously on native americans. But the protestors are too dense to understand that.
Permanently cover up (i.e. revoke) all constitutional rights and protections of all staff, administration, and students effective immediately. Deny all of them any access to the court system, and permanently deny them any access to Government-funded programs.
San Francisco is offensive to me. It should be covered with a tarp. Or maybe hack off the peninsula and let it drift out to sea.
Ironically, this was a WPA, Commie-painted mural intended to show a “nuanced” view of GW. The artist later return to the Soviet Union. Those subtleties are, of course, lost on the neo-philistines and woke iconoclasts.

But the complaint is not about Washington. The complaint is about the showing of slaves picking cotton. And here's the interesting thing. The Front Page site has a picture of Washington that has NOTHING to do with the story.

How queer that this is what’sbecome of Californicate’s schools after the Democrats ended the prohibition on Communists and seditionists teaching in CaCa’s schools. This was a 21st century repeal.
George Washington and men like him are the reason these kids and the mentally challenged adults overseeing them can come up with idiocy like this and not be tossed in jail or lined up in front of a ditch they were forced to dig themselves.

...I agree 100 per cent but am not optimistic... all over the country, we see this foolishness.. statues of Confederate generals being torn down; murals of people the left considers as “racist” being taken down or covered up... you would take your life into your hands should you be found with a Confederate battle flag or wearing a MAGA hat...it isn’t going to end soon but I don’t think it will end well...Civil War II may indeed be just around the corner....
