Michael Moore is warning Democrats about the "enormity of the fight" ahead of the 2020 election, saying the president "hasn't lost one inch of his fired-up insane base."
The filmmaker and liberal activist weighed in after watching Trump speak at his reelection campaign launch rally in Orlando on Tuesday night before a sold-out crowd of 20,000.
I watched the whole thing last night, Moore wrote to his more than 6 million followers on Twitter. I know no one wants to waste that kind of time even looking at him [Trump], but not wanting to see the enormity of the fight ahead doesnt make it go away. He hasnt lost one inch of his fired-up insane base. Are u ready?
Moore once predicted before the 2016 election that Trump would overcome long odds to defeat Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, who was widely favored in polls.
"Donald J. Trump is going to win in November. This wretched, ignorant, dangerous part-time clown and full time sociopath is going to be our next president," the filmmaker wrote on his website at the time.
"President Trump. Go ahead and say the words, cause youll be saying them for the next four years: 'PRESIDENT TRUMP.'"
No presidential incumbent has lost reelection since George H.W. Bush in 1992, when Democrat Bill Clinton won comfortably in the electoral college, 370-168, despite only winning 43 percent of the popular vote. Bush finished with 38 percent of the vote, while independent Ross Perot took 19 percent of the vote.
Trump currently stands at 44.3 percent in the RealClearPolitics index of polls.
But I hope he doesn't move to Guam. It might tip over.
...and growing chubs. lol
tru dat!
“Not only has Trump not lost any of his base, hes GAINED a lot of support. A lot of former dems/libs are waking up to truth.”
i think so too, including lots of black, hispanic, and female folks the Dems have always taken for granted ...
Moore knows that Michigan isnt as progressive as the Democrats think. Much of the state is traditional Scandinavian values and a very proud hardworking people. I loved Moores pre 2016 election video, he knew Trump was the real Hope candidate.
I think one other factor in Trump’s expanded victory is that even more people are going to vote against the outrageous lying and propaganda of the dying lying leftist fake stream enemedia in 2020 than in 2016 since the media’s excesses are at least two orders of magnitude worse now than in 2016 ... more people will vote for Trump because of this and fewer people will vote for his opponent whether or not they vote for Trump instead ...
Thanks for that reminder — that Bill Clinton LOST the POPULAR VOTE in ‘92!
Clinton 43%
Bush I 38% + Perot 19% = 57% pop vote.
That’s a great little factoid to throw at the “abolish the electoral college” crowd! I’m gonna use it!!
Moore has been quiet for quite some time, so what’s he planning?
” there wasnt a dimes worth of difference between Bush and Clinton,”
The two of them were cozy in pics when Clinton was still basically a kid, and they were cozy until 41 died. 41 called him his “son”. They’re not different at all. You are correct.
Electoral crowd needs to be reminded that it’s not 1 election but 50 elections and that we are not the United State but The United States.
If anyone knows insane, it’s Moore.
Yes, the “fairness” idea will drive many to Trump who might have given the D a chance.. but they have watched him treated completely unfairly for 4 years... they will vote for him just to spite them. There certainly will be part of it.
However, the biggest reason Trump will win in 2020, is simply in 2016, he was an unknown... and the left just fear mongered about him... He won by attracting disenfranchised voters. There were a LOT more disenfranchised voters who thought he was just blowing hot air and stayed home, or bought into the D lies... and stayed home, or were scared into voting or Hillary.
Those folks won’t do that this time, they have seen he was serious, seen him deliver, and will indeed show up and pull the lever for Trump.
Trump will get more votes than ANY Republican ever has for the White House... at the very least. He may even get more votes for President than ANYONE ever... and if that happens I am going to enjoy it, oh, ever so much.
My brother is one of those...he is a staunch conservative and he and his wife were very much against Trump and ended up voting for that bald guy (can’t remember his name)...anyway, they realize they were wrong about him and will fully support and vote for Trump this time. SO I have 2 just in my immediate family. How many more Christians, conservatives, etc will be doing the same thing this time around now that they see he has been far more conservative as far as abortion, as far as religion, etc and better for the economy?
i definitely agree with all of what you said, particularly the fact that Trump is now a known quantity and everyone can now see that he has been committed to keeping his YUGE quantity of campaign promises, and has not backtracked, nor watered down, nor reversed himself, so no one who votes for him in 2020 need feel one iota of trepidation ...
Absent a black swan event, it looks to me like Trump is on track for a win of epic proportions ... and i’m SO looking forward to the media meltdowns when those lying, traitorous fools finally realize that they have lost ALL power over the voters, not to mention of course, the total meltdown of legions of lunatic leftist snowflakes into little pools of whimpering, whining, screaming goo ... that too will be epic
When Moore The Hutt weighs in, he REALLY weighs in...
Moore’s just angry that the working class are now directing their anger in the right direction. He’s nostalgic for the good old days when the political class could win their votes by whipping them into a frenzy of class resentment. The electorate is learning that the class of people who have been their greatest enemy has been the political class, not “The Rich” per se.
We've been ID'ed... Guilty as charged.
Nope, Michael Moore's talking about 'the insane' who have jobs, families, and follow the rules...
