Not only are the cartels weaponizing mass migration to tie down our border agents so they can bring in dangerous people and contraband, they are apparently monitoring the migrant flow in real time with spy drones.
A border agent in the Rio Grande Valley sector informed me that Border Patrol recovered a cartel drone on Sunday that crashed in La Grulla, Texas, near the river. In the afternoon on June 9, 2019, Border Patrol agents were sign-cutting a group of illegals south of the town of La Grulla, TX, when they encountered a drone laying in the brush, said the veteran Texas agent, who must remain anonymous because he is not authorized to speak to the press. The lights on the drone were blacked out with electrical tape, so as to not be seen at night. This area has recently seen an influx of illicit trafficking.

If I see a drone over my house it’s shotgun time!
Not a crash. That “drone” auto-landed due to low battery. It has a very short loiter time, maybe 15 minutes, so it is of limited usefulness for real time monitoring of anything. That one prop is fouled shows it was making power when it contacted the brush.
One item not mentioned in the story: The lat/long of the launch site is still in the memory of the on board electronics, and can be accessed and read. The flight path is also recorded as well as pics or video.
Trump should use this episode to federalize the Wisconsin AFNG unit pulled out by that states pervcocrat governor and send them to the area where this organized criminal activity is going on.
Wrench - how long can one of those things stay aloft?
With the funds for trafficking people and drugs you could get a ultra long flight.
My husband’s drone is honest working class priced, if the wind takes it for a ride, which may be the thing here, it goes far beyond it’s battery life.
Where’s the vid er o it took?
Kinda bummed about the lat/long tracking. Is there anything technology isn’t tracking.
15 to 20 minutes depending on conditions.
They do have an autonomous mode, but any pics or video would be retained onboard. For FPV, aircraft must remain in line of sight with the paired controller.
For size comparison, the main body is about the size of a 16 oz water bottle.
20-30 minutes tops.
Turkey load!
Line of sight distance? 100 ft?
A mile or more in good conditions.
My buddy has one for a hobby that has a range of a half mile or more. And if it exceeds that it comes back home automatically.
It does have an excellent camera. Essentially, that is what it is, a flying camera.
The company that makes the camera used to be called Hasselblad.
DJI Mavic Pro.
Thanks.
It seems that a real war is coming.
Drone recon
Tunnels 50 ft below ground
Child trafficking for enemy enemy penetration
Killing Border Agents.
Transportation networks throughout the country
.....wake up congress
More than that but I don’t know the exact range. My buddy has one and I saw him go a lot further than that. We couldn’t see it anymore. He flew it using the real time camera.
What about night time?
IR capable?
Can it carry and drop a payload?
Lol.. i was thinking it was just going to the fbi... that would have made me feel better. Google n facebook..
I once thought nothing was more evil than an unconstitutional America, then google and facebook slide the scale. Or maybe i am still right based on how they have become an arm of the government.
