A few days ago, I was wondering what happened to 40 acres and a mule. Turns out that Andrew Johnson, DEMOCRAT, vetoed it. I don’t remember ever learning that. I really thought slaves were already given 40 acres and a mule.

We have come so far. The ex slave Frederick Douglass could not sleep well, until he sent money and PAID the Master for the price he was bought at the slave auction. THEN he got his Bill of MANUMISSION, and felt he was a FREE man. He paid for his own redemption. So much different than today.

Reparations are not happening already happened. Not....Happening . Already...happened. There fixed it. If these people want reparations for something no one is responsible for today, then the North should demand reparations for the countless souls that have died. And the correct history of slavery should be taught. Beginning with the tribes in Africa selling their foes to the merchants. Up to the point that slavery is still practiced in the Arabian peninsula. That it was British law that promoted slavery on plantations and the South only kept the practice up because of the Constitution. There was a major debate of our Founding Fathers about slavery and slavery of the African was not solely regulated to the Colonies. Most do not even know about the GReat Northern Migration from the South which led to the Race Wars in Chicago, Detroit, and other northern cities. Most do not know their own history only that they are owed reparations. Heck, Native Americans know more of their history, today, than these people who believe they are entitled to slavery.

There were white slaves at that same time, working along side of the blacks and there were the black slave owners and the black slave sellers at auctions.

It is unconstitutional, as you say. But they will get commission to review the whole thing. There will be four key problems:

1. Some blacks will be noted as being descendants that came into the US after 1865 (coming out of the Caribbean Island and South America). It’s probably less than 2-percent, but they won’t be eligible for this ‘deal’.

2. The amount will be questioned. Some will suggest $100,000, and some will suggest $10,000.

3. Some will suggest that you simply pay out the sum, agree to this quickly....then trim and cut all slum-support funding from that day on. Logically, everyone is even from that day on and you won’t support any inner-city programs.

4. Finally, you come to the American Indian problem. Shouldn’t they get reparations, and ahead of the blacks?

You are correct. Free blacks owned black slaves as well as Cherokee indians. What about the Chinese who worked on the railroads? The fact is that most whites are descended from immigrants who came here after slavery was abolished. So all this talk about reparations is actually racism in spades.
