The media articles are painting this as a win for the left, but it really isn’t. As far as the court is concerned, they have already made a decision in an earlier case that applies to this one, so they sent it back to the lower court and told them to reconsider based on the SC’s previous decision.
It makes sense when you think about it. If you were the superior and you made a decision, would you like your subordinates going around pretending you didn’t? Would you want them deciding things the way they felt like it while ignoring your decisions that clearly should take precedence over theirs?
Making the lower court bow to the USSC precedent is preferable to just deciding a very similar case all over again and allowing the lower court to get away with ignoring precedent.

Regarding LGBT voters, the lawless, post-17th Amendment ratification Congress continues to wrongly remain silent about its 14th Amendment (14A) powers to strengthen constitutionally enumerated protections imo, 1st Amendment protected religious expression and free speech in this and other cases.
From the 14th Amendment:
"Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
"Section 5: The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article."
In fact, the Supreme Court had put it this way about Congress’s 14th Amendment powers to strengthen rights in Minor v. Happersett.
“3. The right of suffrage was not necessarily one of the privileges or immunities of citizenship before the adoption of the Fourteenth Amendment, and that amendment does not add to these privileges and immunities. It simply furnishes additional guaranty for the protection of such as the citizen already had [emphasis added].” —Minor v. Happersett, 1874.
The remedy for failed federal and state governments…
Patriots need to elect a new patriot Congress in the 2020 elections that will not only promise to support PDJT’s vision for MAGA, but will also promise to do is 14A duty to make punitive laws to discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections.

They’re sending the case back to be decided on by the same court which showed extreme animus toward the baker’s religious beliefs.
That’s like letting the fox decide if he should be let into the hen house.

Seems like bad news if the SOTUS can’t decide if the first amendment trumps the rights of someone else not to be offended. Sad.

Not so, the lower court ruling that upheld the fine against the bakery owners was thrown out. Looks like Scotus is giving the lower court a chance to get it right before Scotus makes a final ruling.

In addition to what you stated, the lower court ruling that upheld the fine against the bakery owners was thrown out so I’m not sure how they would come to that conclusion, but what else would we expect from the looney left wing media.
I recall hearing (from Jay Sekulow, perhaps?) that when the Supreme Court does this, it is a clear signal to the lower court that they got it wrong and need to reconsider. Whether the lower court will play it smart or double down on stupid, of course, is another matter. Left-wing states tend towards the latter. The problem is that the SCOTUS has essentially required all states and thus all businesses to immorally salute the flag of Sodom. Or face economic sanctions, at least.
