Suzy and her husband Peter Saad will face a judge next week who will reportedly terminate their parental rights to their newborn baby, Sofia. The parents reportedly have no criminal record, and have not been charged with child abuse or neglect. They stopped in a hospital in Connecticut while on a trip to Maine because Suzy was experiencing back pain, and the staff there allegedly accused her husband of being a Muslim terrorist, even though he is a U.S. citizen of Egyptian heritage, and a Coptic Christian.
"In protest of the very obvious violation of our human and civil rights, we would like to announce that we will be holding a rally on the day of our trial coming up on June 18, 2019 in front of the superior court in Middletown, CT (from 8am-5pm.). We are asking that any and everyone who is willing and able, please come out and support us in our cause to save our daughter Sofia and please invite the press!!!"

This is not possible.
Yes. I wonder if it happens more than we realize; we might just hear about it when the parents have the resources to bring attention to their plight.
Did you take the time to read the whole story before saying that?
Followed this story to go fund me, some on there saying maybe a hoax, have no idea?
I don’t know if Tim Scott or his wife would even know about it. Do you have any contact info?
Department of Children and Families. Another name for Child Protective Services.
The hearing is on JUne 18th. There is supposed to be a rally. IF this is a hoax, that should be knowable ... but then again, this is the Land of Sandy Hook.
“Sadly I can believe their story having seen first hand what can be done to parents who decided not to send their child back to public school but enroll her in a private school instead.”
There are 5.7 million children happily attending private schools in the US, so there has to be more to your story.
That's what I'm thinking.

Agreed. There were lawyers able to help civil forfeiture cases in Texas where towns targeted out of town drivers, pulled them over, accused them of drug smuggling, took any cash and said sign an affidavit you’re guilty and we won’t take the car and put you in prison.
And this case, if true, is worse.
A poor couple from out of town comes in to the emergency room, and the woman has an emergency C-section. If she suffered a personal injury from it, she’d have lawyers begging for her case. And she says they didn’t just force her to have a C-section but took her baby? There would be attorneys lining up for the malpractice and abuse of power, given that half the couple is not white.
I am just not believing this. I do believe horrendous decisions can be made by CPS or a judge. But this takes the cake of evil against a family. I dont believe this happened as they say, and I sure hope Im right.
Parents enrolled their child in kindergarten. For various reasons, mostly having to do with the teacher, the child failed to thrive there.
Parents decided over the summer to move their child to private school.
Public school decided that since child was not re-enrolled in their school that she was "Truant".
SRO gets involved. CPS is called. Parents are forced to let the CPS see their daughter and talk to her. They are told to appear in court. They do and are told the case is dismissed.
A year later the case comes screeching out of it's grave and they try to arrest the mother. Case goes to court and is dismissed again.
Following year she learned that CPS is digging into her children's medical records including those of her oldest son who is of age.
If I was not involved in it personally I would think it was nuts but I was there for most of it.
Sometimes while just going about your life you run across a bureaucrat that takes you in dislike. Things can quickly go down hill from there. And once you are in the system it never goes away.
AND MORE INFORMATION:
Franz Kafka couldnt make this up. My guess is that the hospital did something stupid and just kept compounding things with the obtuse local Child Protective folks kind of like the Oberlin College fiasco.
Thanks for posting that link - I had not seen those videos taken by the baby’s father. Guilty until proven Guilty with that social worker. This is a nightmare. I read the comment on that link of another women in Connecticut who still hasn’t gotten her baby back, and now she is almost two years old.
FYI about the husband - He is from Egypt. He is caucasian.
I’m not buying it as told.
What is the name of the hospital? Who are the administrators? Who are the doctors?
No kidding? Any particular reasons?
