Beto O’Rourke’s team and supporters think the narrative around their campaign is bunk.
When the Texas Democrat jumped into the race, he was tagged as a political vanity project come to life on the campaign trail; a candidate whose paper-thin résumé made little sense next to the glossy coverage he received. And so, his team set about changing it. For weeks, O’Rourke has been introducing policy papers and sticking to a meet-everyone, go-everywhere plan that initially sidestepped some high-profile media hits.

This guy is a nitwit, who believed too much of the fawning press and cash that showed up, not because they liked him, but hated Cruz.... he thought that was some sort of movement for him on the national stage.. it wasn’t... Basically he’s too stupid to realize the money and attention that flowed to him, had nothing to do with him at all.... He was just the warm body in the spot.
Go home Robert, even the kiddy table doesn’t want you. My guess, see him return to TX soon and run for the Senate again... and get clobbered... and still not realize, what was his 2018 campaign had NOTHING to do with him.... You were just the body to fill the suit.

The money was ALL out of state money.... They were trying to prop him up to take out Cruz.... it could have been anyone playing that role and they would have gotten the money and attention....
He doesn’t seem to realize that he was to them, nothing more than the faceless nameless man that is in the suit waiting at the alter, in the dream young girls dream of for their wedding day.
Robert never had any national support in the electorate... just had a fawning press, and some willing checkbooks he told the left wing nutters what THEY wanted to hear, they wrote him big checks... he stupidly thought that they wanted him on the national stage... They didn’t... they just wanted to stop Trump/Cruz.... and in that place at that time they would throw you money.. .the minute that race was over, you were nothing... and the minute you stepped out of TX you became less than nothing.
You were just 2018 cycles Wendy Davis... She tried to springboard her press created moment and flash in the pan national attention into more as well... and learned the hard way, that just because the media in NY will pump you up, and radical national activists will kneel down and figuratively perform oral on you, in one situation.. that doesn’t mean for one minute they have any desire or love for you in another....
In June of 2013 she got her little moment of fame during her filibuster stunt... stupidly she too fell for her own press an ran for Governor in 2014 where she got spanked and couldn’t even break 40% of the vote.
Robert is just another in a long line of egotistical nimrods, particularly on the left, who think you can just springboard into greatness from an largely and in the grand scheme of things, insignificant moment, that the press tries to pretend and presents as something greater.
I like Beto for one reason, he’s the best weapon we could ask for:
