COMEDIAN Jo Brand has been slammed after saying politicians should have battery acid thrown at them instead of milkshakes.
The telly star, 61, was appearing on BBC Radio 4 when she joked about recent milkshake attacks on politicians such as Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage.
Farage, who had milkshake thrown on him while campaigning in Newcastle ahead of the EU elections last month, called for police to take action over 'incitement of violence'.
Speaking on the Heresy show last night, Brand said: “Certain unpleasant characters are being thrown to the fore, and they’re very, very easy to hate.
“And I’m kind of thinking, why bother with a milkshake when you could get some battery acid?”
She added: "That’s just me, sorry, I’m not gonna do it, it’s purely a fantasy. But I think milkshakes are pathetic, I honestly do. Sorry."

It is already happening with the 7th century goons of islam in Europe. Eventually an attack like this will result in security officers hammering anyone that comes running up on a pol, probably with deadly force.
Getting into the neighborhood of don’t yell “fire” in a crowded theater level of dangerous speech - it’ll be bad for her when the first politician has battery acid thrown at him - or her......
And we wonder why there is violence all over America. Does “Jo” and it’s kind understand that there are mentally ill people just looking for a reason to act out against others. So when someone walks in with battery acid hidden in a cappuccino Starbucks cup and throws it on a Trump supporter, will Jo take all the credit?
I guess shes embraced Islam, then.
