California Progressives Try to Prevent Chick-Fil-A Opening in San Francisco Suburb
Big League Politics ^ | Jun 7, 2019 | Richard Moorhead

San Mateo county officials are trying to prevent the opening of a Chick-Fil-A location in Redwood City, California, claiming that the fried chicken franchise is hostile to the LGBT community.

David Canepa, a San Mateo county supervisor, is leading the effort to drive the franchise away from the San Francisco suburb. He claims that “when people think of the Chick-fil-A logo — what they think of is anti-LGBTQ.”

Chick-Fil-A’s ownership has become the target of controversy for their Christian views in support of traditional marriage. Dan Cathy, the CEO of the company, has supported socially conservative organizations such as the Focus on the Family and the Family Research Council, in addition to speaking openly about his Christian religion.

Canepa went on to openly profess his opposition to Chick-Fil-A opening in Redwood City, taking it upon himself to try and deny their approval to build a new location on a political basis alone. “What we are trying to do is to make sure Chick-fil-A — if they want to do business here — that there is a lot of pressure here and that they should do the right thing and withdraw their application.”

Well, when I see a Starbucks logo, I think of whorish women. If you look at their logo, and think of the fins as legs, well, you know the rest.

I’m pretty surprised the feminazis aren’t all over this yet.

Redwood City and most of the Silicon Valley are about 3% church goers. My kids were among the churchgoers and belonged to a very good church in Redwood City. They were among a very small minority.

If Chick-Fil-A has that sort of “reputation” it’s due to a relentless campaign of slander and misrepresentation on the part of the hypocrites who now say they don’t want them there because, in effect, they think their hate campaign worked. That’s pretty disgusting.

Stuff like this convinced my son, his wife, and their company to pull up stakes and move to Reno

Unlike Lot's wife, don't look back ...

Yes, but not many. Mostly 60 and 70 era ranch suburban homes worth about $2 million each.

Hmm.

All I think of are tasty chicken sammies.

Imagine a conservative state pulling up the 2ndvote website, listing all the anti-gun, anti-life and other liberal businesses and saying, “You’re contrary to moral principles, so none of you can do business here.”

Liberals want to do the same thing, but they’re using guns and homosexuality as the two main discriminators to discriminate against contractors and franchises in general. Once the precedence is established, you’ll be denied the right to do business or even shop if you aren’t in agreement with the liberal checklist of approved beliefs.

I was in Colorado in the 90's when there was a housing boom. Most new neighborhoods were named after the things they demolished in order to put in the homes:

--Fox Hollow? No foxes there
--Prairie View? No grasslands to see here
--Hartford's Ranch? No mooing or shoeing here
--Peaceful Acres? Freeway close!

Why would CFA want to open in Sodom Frisco

San Mateo isn't San Francisco. It's nearby, but it's a separate city in a separate county with no shit in the streets.
