I was in Colorado in the 90's when there was a housing boom. Most new neighborhoods were named after the things they demolished in order to put in the homes:

--Fox Hollow? No foxes there
--Prairie View? No grasslands to see here
--Hartford's Ranch? No mooing or shoeing here
--Peaceful Acres? Freeway close!
