In Congo, the ebola epidemic is back. Axios has a disturbing chart showing a sharp arc upward based on Congolese government data. Total cases have gone to from virtually nothing last August to 2,031 now and the data suggest that the trend has not peaked.
That's news, because right now, Congolese migrants have begun crossing our unguarded southern border in large numbers. According to the Voice of America:
U.S. Border Patrol agents have apprehended more than 150 African immigrants [sic] attempting unauthorized crossings into Texas at the U.S. southern border within the past week, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
On Saturday, agents arrested a group of 37 undocumented immigrants [sic] from Central Africa who had crossed the winding Rio Grande onto U.S. soil, the CBP said in a news release Tuesday. The agency said the immigrants [sic] consisted of family groups, including small children, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Congo.
Last Thursday evening, agents picked up a group of 116 African immigrants [sic] crossing the river in the Del Rio sector, the CBP said in a May 31 news release.
Axios, to its credit, is one of the few news agencies that has been keeping tabs on the ebola spread for several months now. Al Jazeera, of all places, is another.
Previous reports have noted that ebola doctors and nurses have had to brave gunfire and assault by ISIS-linked terrorists as they've tried to treat patients, with that complication enabling the spread of the disease. Terrorist violence combined with a deadly epidemic of a horrific disease would give people with any means reason to migrate abroad, legally or not...

Remember the obama kid shoes and Ted Cruz handing out teddy bears on the border. Our politicians go down there long enough for photo ops but they need to stay six months to understand the real damage.
Some US populations come in contact with that stuff on a regular basis.
Read between the lines of my answer, and you might catch my meaning.
I HOPE YOU’RE RIGHT, PING..
and congrats on 2 good kids..
Hmm. Wasnt there a big fuss several years back because nurses were catching Ebola due to inadequate protection? As I recall, droplets from coughs or sneezing were very dangerous. And now of course we have cities littered with feces and needles. Did you know that when junkies shoot up there is blood spatter? So now we have people entering our country from Ebola hotspots. And you arent worried? You are delusional. These people are being brought here deliberately by forces working against our country. Recent efforts to shut off the financing of the traffickers shows their money is coming in part from the US and U.K.
It’s frightening. Sometimes, I’m glad to be a hermit.
And what is stopping several of these weapons entering and infecting food in fast food restaurants, popular beverages beer wine and soda production, blood supplies, area hospitals, large stadiums, malls, children’s pediatric doctors offices, play grounds, public swimming pools, schools. This is diabolical and evil

There is no known risk of becoming infected with Ebola virus through casual contact with a survivor. However, the virus can remain in certain bodily fluids and continue to spread to others after a person has recovered from the infection. The virus can persist in semen, breast milk, ocular (eye) fluid, and spinal column fluid.
The bottom line is that it is highly unlikely that any of these individuals will spread Ebola in the US. They are much more likely to spread any number of other communicable diseases that represent a far greater threat.

Overwhelm the system (to destroy the United States.)
Alinsky would be proud.
I have lots of concerns regarding Congolese migrants entering TX. However, for the time being, Ebola is not one of them...I think there is a lot of misinformation being reported.
The article states these are migrants entering TX from Congo—and I have heard San Antonio is looking for French interpreters, so I do believe some of the 350 have just arrived from Africa, not remnants from RIO Olympics.
However, there are 2 African countries with “Congo” in their name as noted in map below.

The chart linked from the American Thinker article is showing Ebola cases from DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO, not Congo (The Republic of Congo).
They are not the same country, and there are not outbreaks reported in Congo~at least not yet tho that is not to say Ebola won’t jump the borders in the future.
What does that mean? They claim to have come from Rio? BTW Portuguese is the language of Brazil.
Obama would say that ebola is the “new normal.”
I was thinking that ebola would be a perfect reason to militarize the border.
Well, we’ve already had a scare; but the news drops things as soon as a new thing comes along.
I felt bad for that young nurse who was called to a ‘command performance’ in the Oval, right after she got out of the hospital.
I have read that those who were “cured” have issues they will be dealing with rest of their lives.
Yes, media moves on—but like the border even tho not covering it, the story continues!
I don’t understand the reluctance to call a National Emergency and put troops and wire fencing on border...As I said, if any Ebola cases start popping up where the invaders have been shipped, there will be never-ending blame directed towards Trump by the swamp and mainstream media...
