WH blocked intelligence agency’s written testimony calling climate change ‘possibly catastrophic’

White House officials barred a State Department intelligence agency from submitting written testimony this week to the House Intelligence Committee warning that human-caused climate change is “possibly catastrophic.” The move came after State officials refused to excise the document’s references to federal scientific findings on climate change.

The effort to edit, and ultimately suppress, the prepared testimony by the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research comes as the Trump administration is debating how best to challenge the fact that burning fossil fuels is warming the planet and could pose serious risks unless the world makes deep cuts in greenhouse gas emissions over the next decade. Senior military and intelligence officials have continued to warn climate change could undermine America’s national security — a position President Trump rejects.

CIA’s job is to overthrow foreign governments and infiltrate foreign governments and spy on foreign governments.

Whoever was involved in this report, from top to the lowest-level agent, needs to be fired. They can go find work selling real estate or something. They are not the kind of people who should be working for an intel agency. Find out who recruited them down in HR, and fire them too.

This is the significant part. The BIR is not a scientific institution. It is an intelligence body. It's job is to provide insight, based upon intellgence gathered as part of State Department activities on the potential actions and motivations of foreign countries.

Obviously this is another intelligence agency that is so blinded by PC that it cannot do the job it is supposed to be competent at doing.

Possibly catastrophic.

Here’s a list of possibly catastrophic events:

—The Yellowstone caldera goes up.

—Nuclear war with Russia.

—Space aliens attack.

—Huge asteroid or comet impact on Earth.

—Zombies.

—California earthquake with falling into sea.

—Tsunami on Northwest coast—Oregon, Washington, British Columbia.

—The Sun supernovas.

—The Sun goes out.

Every one of these I’ve seen over the past 10 years or so in various Hollywood movies. Why does the State Department only want to promote Algore’s movie?

So the President requires departments within his administration to follow his policies and positions. How is this any different than Obama pushing his Paris accords or homo agenda?

EVERY President gets to set the Executive agenda.

Why does it always take three reporters to promote the dumbest propaganda? Isn’t one enough?

The chief concern having to do with the climate is leftist flatulence. Everyone suspects it, but actual reporting on it is being suppressed.

We got climatologists in the intelligence agencies now? Maybe it’s time to start drug testing the human resources clowns.

Foggy Bottom has long been riddled with Socialists and America hating Ivy League squishes. If I had my druthers, we’d gut the state department.

Re: Blocked testimony

A politically inept decision.

Release it - but add a persuasive White House rebuttal!

On the other hand, Trump has never hired anyone to work in the White House who knows how to write a Global Warming rebuttal, so maybe that’s a bad idea, too.

It is NOT a fact that fossil fuels are warming the planet.

This is an outright lie by the Post.
