California poised to go further than any state to insure the undocumented

As California moves closer than ever to offering free health care to low-income undocumented adults—at a potential cost of $1 billion—battle lines are being drawn about who should benefit, and who ultimately will pay the price.

KEYWORDS:
Aimee Mestas, a 20-year-old community activist from Delano

So come to our country illegally, become a community activist, and then demand that the current legal residents pay for you and your family to have "free" healthcare. This terminology of "free" for anything provided by the government is a lie. The government comes to the makers and by force of economic ruin or imprisonment takes their income and transfers it to the takers. Nothing "free" about it.

She knows all about free, she has spent her life freeloading.

A clueless 20 year old. Does she have a real job or is she living off mom and dad?

They don’t get it free now. They just don’t pay for it.

The article claims California has 2.2MM illegals, statewide. I call BS. There’s probably more than that in L.A. County alone!

We live in a time and a place where everybody has a “voice” and can potentially reach millions of ears. I worked with a guy who was making about $60,000 a year. He stopped coming into work because he was drunk all the time. People from work went over and moved his household goods into storage for him when he lost his apartment and moved out onto the streets. He had a blog which he kept up from the public library. He said on it that he had intended to drink himself to death but he ran out of money before he died. The newspaper picked up the story and raised money to put him in an apartment and pay for a bunch of stuff for him. He sold it all, moved out and said in his blog that he had spent it all on liquor. But the point is, he used his high tech “voice” to reach and play on the good nature of hundreds of people. And, that is exactly what he did; play people. When we forward somebody’s voice on social media, who knows what evil will come from it? This person advocating for “free” stuff is evil using our social media and regular media to potentially steal from the public. We must take care with who gets our sympathy, our vote and our money. Just because somebody sounds good and their intentions look good, it is incumbent on us to evaluate them just as if they were standing in front of us in Walmart’s parking lot hitting us up for a dollar they “won’t spend on beer.”

Nothin’ but a Mexican shakedown.

Puttin’ the bite on the gringo.

Didn’t we vote against this explicitly 25 years ago? And a federal judge said we had no right to make such laws - only the federal government could “regulate immigration”?

Yet now the very same Mexican Supremacists tell us they can make an explicit law giving their couuntrymen our money, to which they have NO RIGHT.

Just a pet peeve of mine:

If I forget my drivers license I'm "undocumented", if I cross the border illegally I'm an ILLEGAL ALIEN

“If I forget my drivers license I’m “undocumented”, if I cross the border illegally I’m an ILLEGAL ALIEN”

Illegal means against the law. A person can’t be illegal - if he crosses the border illegally, he is a criminal. CRIMINAL ALIEN.

The author of this article and the newspaper that printed it are part of the scam.

To say Mestas is "from Delano" presents her as a U.S. citizen when, in fact, she is one of ...those who arrived brought to the country illegally as minors...

Are we no longer a nation of laws? "Illegally" suggests someone should answer to criminal charges. Lets give Aimee the choice, her parents or her?

CA, the state where I was born and grew up, certainly seems lost forever

If enough Americans shrug it off then we are.

"It" being --------

sanctuary cities and states that arrogantly defy the law when they choose to do so.

Illegals allowed to drive and have driver's license which allow them to vote as "citizens."

Hillary and the rest getting by without indictments and prison terms for obvious felonies dating back to the Rose Law Firm and beyond.

Jussie getting off, so far.

Cops with arms folded while Antifa thugs hit conservatives at public gathering with pipes, sticks and loaded special gloves to beat them and gas them.

And many more. But Manafort in solitary confinement. Flynn's life ruined. Physical and legal threats to President Trump and his family. All that is allowed under the Two Tiered System of Justice.

I was standing in line at the local CVS pharmacy waiting to get my prescription filled. Person in front of me provided the pharmacist a Medi-Cal card. No co-pay everything covered. I presented my work provided medical insurance card. Co-pay was required. So I as a California taxpayer got to pay for two prescriptions mine and the Medi-Cal recipient. What a deal. Now I get to pay for all of freaking Mexico’s prescriptions.

Aimee Mestas, 20, considers herself lucky because she has Medi-Cal but worries about her family members who are undocumented and rely on home remedies when they are sick

Here's a novel idea - HOW ABOUT THEY PAY FOR THEIR OWN HEALTH CARE. I haven't read the constitution in a couple of month, but I'm pretty sure "the right to plunder citizens who work harder and smarter than you to pay for your health care" isn't in there. Don't they have money? How do they pay for their beer, cigarettes and lotto tickets?

The woman and her family members are thieves taking from the system that they didn't contribute to.

If it’s under the Medi-Cal system, our federal tax dollars will be subsidizing this madness.

Think about all of the quasi-public agencies providing advice and assistance to the “users.” It boggles the mind.

Public funds and “grants” showing these folks how to game the system.

What a strange coincidence. The greater the level of progressive policies in California, the greater the number of homeless. Hmm... wonder why. Lol.

And bling. Gotta have bling.

The welfare office secretary here quit because the clients were making more than she was working 40/hr. week.
