Did Ilhan Omar commit federal tax fraud? ("Miss America" nailed for shady campaign spending)

My column two weeks ago on Ilhan Omar’s Marriage Fraud Immunity Card mentioned the Minnesota state investigation of her use of campaign funds for personal expenses related to her divorce, plus other spending for out-of-state travel.

The report was released today on her shady spending practices in response to complaints last year. She has been ordered to pay about $4,000 in reimbursements & fines, plus file amended disclosures.

Keep in mind that Rep. Omar was legally married to (suspected brother) Ahmed Elmi from 2009-2017 while also filing joint tax returns with longtime partner Ahmed Hirsi in 2014 and 2015.

Lets just be honest....it does not matter what this person says, does, said, or did. It doesn’t matter that she mocks America every chance she gets. It doesn’t matter that she’s out there cavorting with CAIR, fundraising and talking all sorts of shit about the US. Short of slitting someone’s throat while on Facebook Live, nothing will ever happen to her. And if you don’t think that with the ever increasing somalian population in Minneapolis, she won’t soon be running for the Senate or Governors office, you are living in LaLa Land.

The Democratic Party in that city and state has opened up Pandora’s Box with her. I would love it if they tried something with her. Her countrymen/women in Minneapolis would make that city look like Mogadishu on Oct 3, 1993. It would be fantastic. It would be liberals and democrats finally having to live with consequences of their “feel good ideas” and see what they’ve imported. It’s already started in that city.....BUT.....with liberals it’s...well, it didn’t happen to me, so everything must be ok...or...it isn’t in my uber lily white, liberal neighborhood, so all is right with the world.

Anyone that goes after her, to include the Democrats, will quickly be silenced with every “ist” label that they can think of and make up.

Carter, to the previous occupant of the White House, is responsible for the immigration mess we are no embroiled in. And unless the President is allowed to implement his policies, without being obstructed from the 9th Circuit, RINOs, and the Dem’s, and a implementation of Eisenhower’s, Operation Wetback is put in motion(whether by force or just the reduction of benefits and closing all the loopholes) the American Experiment is on it’s last legs. Reagan gets a pass because he trusted the Murderer Kennedy.

This woman is a fraud. She is a perfect example of the 3rd world making a mockery of our immigration, asylum and refugee laws. Most of the time with assistance of the Radical, Liberal, Socialist, Anti-America Do-Gooders in the US Dept of State. I don’t know or care to know her history. But, from what little I’ve read she was in an refugee camp in Kenya, came to America, got citizenship(somehow...although the math doesn’t seem to add up as to how she got it), married her brother and committed immigration fraud and is now, possibly, rolled up in tax fraud.

The creepy rag-head in Congress describes herself as “an African on a Congressional committee.” You can bet this rag-headed fraud's got a whole bunch of identities......one for every occasion.

Tucker Carlson called this Clitless Wonder Muslim woman and self-proclaimed Somali refugee “someone who hates our country” and who came to the U.S. “at public expense,” noting that she “demanding the abolition of ICE, the decriminalization of illegal immigration itself, and an end to all deportation programs. She demands open borders, the unlimited arrival of anyone who wants to come to America, whether they have anything to contribute or not; and taxpayers get to pay for it. And if you don’t want to, according to "the African" you’re a bigot,” Carlson said. Tucker referenced Ilhan Omar as “a symbol of America’s failed immigration system if there ever was one.”

Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., repeatedly violated state rules when she used campaign funds to pay for personal out-of-state travel as well as help on her tax returns and must reimburse her former campaign committee nearly $3,500, Minnesota campaign finance officials ruled Thursday. The Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board said the first-term congresswoman also must pay the state a $500 civil penalty for using campaign money to travel to Florida, where she accepted an honorarium.

"This reimbursement payment is the total amount of campaign funds that were used for purposes not permitted by statute in 2016 and 2017. Rep. Omar must provide documentation within 30 days from the date of this order showing the deposit of the reimbursement into the Omar committee’s account."

Additionally, conservative commentators pointed out that the Board's reportrevealed Omar and her current husband, Ahmed Hirsi, filed joint tax returns in 2014 and 2015, when Omar was reportedly married to another man. Omar engaged in a civil marriage with Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009, and the couple separated in 2011 without formally petitioning for divorce until 2017.

Prior to her marriage with Elmi, Omar had reportedly wed Hirsi in the Muslim "faith tradition," but the couple separated shortly afterwards. Omar did not officially marry Hirsi until 2018, after reconciling with him and splitting with Elmi.

Tax experts say the IRS only permits joint filings if a couple is in a state that legally recognizes the couple as married.

"Time to get federal IRS officials involved?" asked conservative blogger Michelle Malkin. "What say you all?" "A sitting congresswoman may have filed EIGHT YEARS of fraudulent, felonious, tax returns," added writer David Steinberg, who authored a Twitter thread flagging the issue.

OMAR SUGGESTS IT'S 'UNAMERICAN' TO DETAIN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS 'The crisis committee had Frederick & Rosen prepare releases for Rep. Omar and Mr. Hirsi to sign in order for Frederick & Rosen to obtain Rep. Omar’s and Mr. Hirsi’s filed joint tax returns for 2014 and 2015," the report notes. "Frederick & Rosen then reviewed the documents obtained from the Internal Revenue Service on behalf of the Omar committee. However, there is no substantive evidence in the record to show that the services benefitted the Omar committee, and the Omar committee has failed to prove, by a preponderance of the evidence, that the services from Frederick & Rosen were a permitted noncampaign disbursement under Minnesota Statutes section 211B.12. Rep. Omar must reimburse the committee the $1,500 that was paid to the Kjellberg Law Firm for the services from Frederick & Rosen, Ltd."

That reference to Omar and Hirsi's joint filing, however, was not investigated or addressed further in the report. 1464 Findings by Fox News on Scribd The board found that Omar's campaign bought her a plane ticket to Boston, where she spoke at a political rally; paid for a hotel in Washington, D.C., where Omar participated in an interview for the United Nations Foundation's Girl UP conference; and covered her travel to Chicago to accept an award and attend a fundraising luncheon. Under Minnesota law, campaign trips must be related to serving in office. Omar was a state representative from Minneapolis at the time of the violations. She was elected to the U.S. House last November.

Republican state Rep. Steve Drazkowski initially raised the complaints against Omar, suggesting that she used $2,250 in campaign funds to pay a lawyer for her divorce proceedings. Omar has said those payments to her attorney were campaign-related fees. The board found the payment was actually reimbursement to two other law firms for work related to immigration and tax documents. The board also determined that $1,500 spent to correct an issue on Omar's tax return was not a campaign-related expense and must be returned.

According to the board, evidence indicates that the $2,250 was not payment for Omar's marital dissolution. The board directed Omar to file an amended report with more information about the law firm payments.

Omar had called the claims politically motivated. In a statement, her congressional campaign said she is "glad this process is complete" and that she intends to comply with the board's findings. Omar also claimed, "We have been collaborative in this process and are glad the report showed that none of the money was used for personal use, as was initially alleged." However, the report specifically found that there was "some personal benefit to Rep. Omar from the [legal] services." Drazkowski said in a statement that the results provide "no reassurance to Minnesotans," and the report "raises even more troubling questions."

Freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar has been ordered to reimburse her campaign account about $3,500 and to pay a fine of $500 after an investigation found she illegally used campaign funds in 2016 and 2017, a report said Thursday.

The illegal donations date back to when Omar, who represents a district in Minnesota, served as a state representative.

They include a $1,500 payment to a law firm that her campaign hired to respond to unproven allegations that she married her brother as part of a “immigration scheme,” the Star Tribune reported.

The rest of the money was used for travel expenses to cities such as Boston, Chicago and Washington DC for political events, the newspaper reported.

“I’m glad this process is complete and that the Campaign Finance Board has come to a resolution on this matter,” Omar told the newspaper in a statement.

When asked about Islam’s ruling on whether any person -- in this case, Christians -- is permitted to wear or pray before the cross, Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Tarifi, a Saudi expert on Islamic law, said, “Under no circumstances is a human permitted to wear the cross” nor “is anyone permitted to pray to the cross.” Why? “Because the prophet -- peace and blessings on him -- commanded the breaking of it [the cross].”

Islamic history is a reflection of these sentiments. For instance, the aforementioned Sheikh al-Tarifi also explained that if it is too difficult to break the cross -- for instance, a large concrete statue -- Muslims should at least try to disfigure one of its four arms “so that it no longer resembles a cross.” Historic and numismatic evidence confirms that, after the Umayyad caliphate seized the Byzantine treasury in the late seventh century, it ordered that one or two arms of the cross on the coins be effaced so that the image no longer resembled a crucifix (Sword and Scimitar, p. 54).
