Because our public has been taught that there is no moral compass.

The further you distance yourself from morality, the easier it is to sucker for these things.

Physicians, psychologists are no different than others.

These people aren’t different to them. The are their own special entity, each varied group. What right does anyone have to label them an anomaly?

They’re just bogged down in the process of thinking straight. This is too much for them.

In the haste to make everyone “okay”, nobody is normal. There is no normal. That is now deemed to have been since the dawn of man, a false premise.

I think that's the key, more than 'moral compass'. Of course, morality has become very flexible/fungible to many people; but the loss of the capacity for thinking logically seems even more ominous to me. After all, a sense of morality does derive in great part from the ability to think logically.
