The Trump administration is planning a large-scale deportation operation that would include migrant families who did not show up in court to learn their asylum claims had been denied and they had been ordered deported.
Mark Morgan, acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, on Tuesday told reporters the agency is moving forward on a strategy it hopes will "disincentive" those who are not in fear for their lives and might claim asylum after illegally crossing in order to get into the U.S. and avoid immediate deportation.
"We have no choice as I see this," said Morgan. "We need to take some interior enforcement action ... We need to continue to do everything that we can within the current legal framework, within the current laws, within the current statutorily mandated duties of ICE, to assist, to reduce this humanitarian crisis," Morgan told a small group of reporters at a round table briefing at the agency's headquarters Tuesday. "That will include families."
Why don’t you run for potus, overcome what he has, and show him how it’s done.
They talk a good game, but the images of those people spilling over that border every day is going to hurt.
Well, lets get on with it then
Tariffs might work but still doesn’t address the problem this would go a lot further.
In the hundreds of postings here in Free Republic rarely is this brought up. Its Known As Reciprocity. We should be treating anybody illegally crossing the Mexican border into the US the way the Mexicans do;
Any American illegally .crossing into Mexico. Before being kicked out can get a heavy fine and possible imprisonment.
Its time we consider illegal entry by any person who is a non Mexican citizen illegally entering the United States through the US Mexican border a defacto Mexican citizen with limited Mexican constitutional rights subject to their laws while transiting. As well as any Mexican citizen entering illegally exempting those who do so legally.
According to the Mexican constitution Americans legally in Mexico get a 2nd class treatment. Besides being unable to vote one must also be a citizen to own land and Mexico is very restrictive about granting citizenship. Because of that a US citizen besides not being able to vote,and cannot have title in their name to any land property in Mexico. Its time the US should consider making that reciprocal.
Prohibit and fully legally enforce punishment to violators offering any illegal entrant employment, voting, and land ownership privileges .In other words the incentives to those thinking of sneakimg into this country are removed and those that do better expect expulsion no job no voting no landowning ..
Even their talk isn’t convincing.
After enjoying a massive enchilada my strategy was to pass wind, but that was not the actual result.
Put them on a train, or in a caravan, and ship them from our southern border to our northern border?
That's what the Mexicans do ...

Sidney Powell is correct.
The announcement should be ex post facto. Today we deported families that did not show up for immigration hearings.
We are actively hunting all the scofflaws that failing to appear are now subject to immediate deportation
Deport all illegals. No exceptions. Those who self-deport before being apprehended would be able to keep everything they stole from the American people, since we can’t stop them, but the rest should be fined the costs of their criminal behavior, including social services and education for their illegal children.
And legal anchor babies of illegals? Give those law-breaking parents the choice: We should be compassionate and offer free transportation home to keep the family intact or allow the criminal parents to choose to place their children with legal residents of the United States.
Agree with all but your point #3. Let them choose where to be repatriated, as long as that country agrees to take them. Country of origin may be a death sentence for some.
Nice try guy, but you just created an incentive for the entire world to come to the US, overstay their visa, and sign up for your program which would force me to make monthly payments to every Tom, Dick and hairy third worlder on the planet, and give them a free plane ride home. NO THANKS!
Thousands ain’t enough. We need to deporting MILLIONS of invading barbarians.
Talk about your perverse incentives.
All of South and Central American would invade the US to get deported and get on the “free stuff” bandwagon.
This is how they all should see the situation....
Mark Morgan, acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement:
...” no type of unauthorized immigrant would be “exempt” from any such operation.”
I just felt a thrill up my leg.
I like the surprise affect.....”Morgan would not share details of the plan, including when it would start or which parts of the country might be affected.”
The Director also wants to impose consequences on ‘other’ unauthorized immigrants, including those who have overstayed visas, are working in the country illegally, those who have been convicted of crimes while in the U.S., and employers who hire undocumented people.
President Trump needs to up the ante by citing implementation of The List.
The list goes like this -
1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 10-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (40 years to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population)
7) demonstrate English proficiency to acquire citizenship and pass civics test.
Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to self-deport.
Also consider reciprocation of the laws of the countries of origin of the illegal aliens. For example, Mexico doesnt allow land ownership or voting to immigrants, and doesnt honor birthright citizenship like its citizens expect from the U.S. We should offer the same deal to them.
