As of last year, the Taliban controlled or contested 46 percent of the districts in Afghanistans civil war. That was enough justification for us to keep our military perpetually engaged there in combat. What if you were told that 80 percent of Mexicos territory is controlled by dangerous cartels, including all of the key smuggling routes at our border, and that the cartels are orchestrating all of the illegal immigration into our territory and bringing their members back and forth across our own border?
Several weeks ago, the Mexican investigative journal Contralínea posted a map of Mexico prepared by the government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), showing that 80 percent of the countrys 266 districts recently targeted for enforcement by the Mexican National Guard in a new counter-cartel operation are either controlled (57.5 percent) or disputed (23.3 percent) by the cartels. Only 53 (19.92 percent) enjoy a low level of violence, which means that control is exercised by the authorities, reported Contralínea on May 4, citing the data on the color-coded map.

About 99% of our FERAL Government do not give a shiite about the We the People crowd and control 100% of the country.

Cruz has been a real disappointment on this to say the least. I have heard the Texas politicians say closing the border would hurt the Texas economy. The Texas economy has never been stronger and it aint because of Mexico.......
Our government better start listening to The We The People or things are going to have to get ugly.

It's a plea for more money.
However, I don't doubt it.
With all that being said, we truly have an enemy on the southern border that is now hostile to the US.
CLOSE THE BORDER, MR. PRESIDENT.

I hope all those Americans who use cocaine and other drugs recreationally are happy with themselves.
I wonder whether there is a political distinction to illicit drug use (i.e. liberals vs. conservatives)?
To: mrsmith
The cartels are the fault of the Mexicans and their government for being corrupt which is a reflection of their people and their culture. We owe them nothing.

I suspect a similar percentage of our own democRAT career politicians are also controlled by those monsters. A “clear and present danger”, if you ask me.

Hmmm, IMO, think this gives the illegals, and their treasonous lawyer trainers, the ammo (excuse the pun) needed for claiming asylum.

THIS is very interesting... I have been saying all long, the invasion is all about the narcotics.. Any darn fool can see the vast majority of the invaders (probably 90%) are men of military age, but all we hear about is "THOSE POOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN."!
And now we discover the cartels are actually trying to takeover parts of our major cities, just like they doing in Mexico.. And succeeding at it I might add.. The really sad part is, we are letting them do it without even the smallest challenge...
I'm at the point where I absolutely despise Washington DC and those worthless SOB's that run the place.. :(

You are dead on.
The cartels started taking power in the border states back in the 1990’s. The Mexican govt didn’t stop them then, so they kept on growing and taking territory.

The Cartel headquarters are known.
Drones and hellfires should be sent in wide spread simultaneous destruction. The action is an act of war. Law enforcement has faied.
Dead women and children must not be feared. They are the enemy and must be destroyed. Mexcico is powerless to defend. America must bloody the Mexican countryside with dismembered Cartel corpses
