Maybe it's John Bolton clutching a gun. Maybe it's Mike Pompeo setting down his binoculars to stare into the distance. Maybe it's the gators.
But a newly unveiled painting meant to depict President Trump and his team navigating the Washington "swamp" has something for everyone.
Utah-based artist Jon McNaughton touched off a social media frenzy as he shared his painting, “Crossing the Swamp,” Tuesday on Twitter. The painting is a riff on the classic “Washington Crossing the Delaware,” only it replaces George Washington's crew with members of the Trump administration.

I have this as the header for my “Secret” Facebook group in which I and the members post the more radical ideas we don’t necessarily want friends, family and acquaintances to see on our own pages. Everyone loves this painting! I’ll have to share this article with them.

I wonder how many, if any, Democrats actually believe
in the reality of the swamp? I can’t imagine how
completely stupid one would have to be to know that
that there is such a thing yet think that it is
a good thing for this nation just because it is tilted
to their way of thinking.
To our way of thinking Trump has proved that the Swamp
does, indeed, exist. The lefty hate for him causes
them to embrace this evil. Here in California obviously
the left owns all the power of government. That
the media supports the status quo makes it far worse.If the Republicans owned the state I would be equally
opposed as little good comes from one party rule.
On the other hand the media would be there to hold the
GOP in check which is something they don’t currently
do now and, consequently, the reason for so much
scandalous Dem behavior.
Anyone who think Bolton or Pompeo are out to drain the swamp is frankly too stupid to appreciate any painting more sophisticated than a paint by numbers kit.
Both are swamp dwellers, and PRECISELY the kind of men Trump recently complained about as being opposed to ever pulling any military force out of any conflict, anywhere, ever.
It is appalling that such nonsense claims the title of “conservative.” Nothing conservative about it. It is just socialism with a flag wave and some uniforms.
Oh wow. Believe it or not The Delaware River around Trenton does kind of look like that. I live about forty-five minutes from that area.
