A Made Man (Mueller) Unmakes Himself
Am Thinker ^ | June 2, 2019 | Clarice Feldman

Posted on 06/02/2019 6:46:35 AM PDT by upchuck

In common parlance, a made man is someone whose path to success was greased by circumstances. It also refers to someone formally inducted as a full member of a criminal outfit -- the Mafia. In the political atmosphere in which Robert Mueller was born, he, like John Kerry, was virtually assured of a prestigious place in society: He was a tall white man with a hatchet jaw who (like his classmate Kerry) went to an expensive private school – St. Paul’s -- and came from a well-connected and well-off family.

His wife, Ann Cabell Standish Mueller, is related to Charles Cabell, once deputy director of the CIA. Richard Bissell, formerly the CIA’s director of plans, is his cousin. Both men were fired by President Kennedy for their roles in the Bay of Pigs fiasco.

His own public service career includes a number of spectacular failures as well:

He kept four innocent men in jail for years (one for 35 years) to protect the vicious criminal Whitey Bulger, who had at times been an FBI informant.

If true, how are there no consequences?

I’ll bet you can research it from there.

When you watch AG Barr on TV, he comes across as extremely confident, competent, at ease, and knowledgeable. Some of that aura is lost when you read this CBS transcript of this interview. I think I see why.

Barr is soft spoken and at ease. Yet, when you read this transcript, the pauses and reflections are ignored, by leaving out punctuation. Instead of commas and periods, reflecting these events, we see run on sentences and left out parentheticals. This makes the transcript seem anxious and whiney. I have no doubt that this is intentional. The full interview is hard to find on the internet. These punctuation altered transcripts are everywhere.

I NEVER understood why the hell he wasn’t fired after 9-11....Good freaking grief...these people were in the STATES and had people telling the FBI that some were taking FLYING lessons where they didn’t want to know about taking off or landing!

There were consequences...just not for him. Two of the innocent men died in prison. The families of the four were paid $100,000,000 (I believe?) by the taxpayers. How’s that for “consequences”?

Basically what Mueller said in his little speech the other day was that there is no evidence that President Trump did not commit a crime. Think about that one. He should be disbarred.

I can’t not prove that you didn’t not commit a crime so you are guilty. Or something like that.

Both the Senate and Barr has to squeeze this fool, Mueller, and America will become sick at what they learn. Remember that almost half of Americans have no idea how close we came to be a communists run Country thanks to the MSM, Hollywood, etc.

Thanks for the ping.

Again an excellent piece by Feldman and more confirmation that Mueller’s whining speech the other day reflects his lack of character and integrity.

There is no person in the United States, or anywhere else for that matter, that the Justice Department could conclusively prove has not committed some crime.

I NEVER understood why the hell he wasn’t fired after 9-11....

Since Mueller had only been FBI director, or even in the FBI, for one week when September 11th happened, it does not seem reasonable to blame him for the FBI failures that allowed September 11th to happen.

I think you are wrong about that....I think he had already been FBI Director and then KEPT him longer than the 10 year limit.

I think you are wrong about that....I think he had already been FBI Director and then KEPT him longer than the 10 year limit.

He was kept on long than the normal term, but that decision happened ten years after September 11th.

From Wikipedia:

"In 1998, Mueller was named U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California and held that position until 2001.

"Federal Bureau of Investigation

"The Senate unanimously confirmed Mueller as FBI director on August 2, 2001, voting 98–0 in favor of his appointment. He had previously served as acting deputy attorney general of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) for several months before officially becoming the FBI director on September 4, 2001, just one week before the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

...

"In May 2011, President Barack Obama asked Mueller to continue at the helm of the FBI for two additional years beyond his normal 10-year term, which would have expired on September 4, 2011. The Senate approved this request 100–0 on July 27, 2011."

Even if you twist the memos to suggest some prohibition to reaching conclusions on criminal conduct, that debate should have ended when his two superiors, the attorney general and deputy attorney general, told him there was no such policy and asked him to reach a conclusion.

It's just that Mueller feeeeeels that he has no superiors.
