They say Boris is a lock to win the vote of party members IF he is selected by MPs as one of the final two candidates, which he may not be.
The idea choice would be Jacob Rees-Mogg, IMO. Apparently he's not interested though. Disappointing. We need an ACTUAL conservative there. The so-called UK "Conservative" Party really hasn't had one since Thatcher. Cameron and May differed little from say, a center-left RAT like Harold Ford, Bill Nelson, Evan Bayh, etc.
Ironically the one big issue I'd diagree with Mogg on is that he endorsed Johnson!
