Iran has a lot of military capital but little else...they would lose a significant amount very quickly in any sort of shooting war with the US and they are aware of that. They are more comfortable operating against us from the sidelines through proxy and terror. I think their population is not too happy with the regime in general...maybe China and Russia will keep them afloat...
If we have to go after Iran because they are stupid enough to directly attack our forces (and that should be the only reason), then I hope that Trump directs the military to reduce the Iranian military to a bunch of mangled junk. Then we go home. End. Of. Story.
The military exists to deter war by being very strong and very well trained. If, for whatever reason or reasons, that goal fails, then its job is very simple: break the enemy’s things, and kill lots of the enemy until they beg us to stop.
Ever notice that the funnier troops march is in direct correlation to how bad they get their a$$ kicked
