Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), a close ally of President Trump who has supported the president’s desire to pull U.S. troops out of the Middle East, says national security adviser John Bolton is a “malign influence.”
Paul, who believes the U.S. should reduce its military presence in Syria and Afghanistan, says he is alarmed by the recent mobilization of U.S. combat troops to counter what some Trump officials see as a rising threat posed by Iran.
Asked about Bolton’s role in the recent deployment of an aircraft carrier strike group and an Air Force bomber task force, Paul said, “I fear that he’s a malignancy, a malignant influence on the administration."

I agree. Bolton is a psycho who never saw a war he didn't love. He should be playing on Bill Kristol's team.

To be more precise, Bolton has not seen a war he has not loved since Vietnam. Of course, he was military age during Vietnam. In 1995, Bolton said:
“I confess I had no desire to die in a Southeast Asian rice paddy… I considered the war in Vietnam already lost.”
I wonder if Bolton thinks that the men who died had no greater desire than to die in a rice paddy. I do not blame Bolton for not being enthusiastic about dying in Vietnam, but it seems to me to take some nerve for him to be so eager for war and risk of war for others after he has passed draft age. Maybe he ought to consider that others may also not have a desire to die in war.

Bolton’s words scare the piss out of the enemy. When he speaks, governments listen.
I tend to agree with you. Trump was not elected to follow John Bolton’s agenda, but an agenda that’s for the people of this country.
Rand Paul is right to express his view.
I’m not much of a Libertarian like he is on all issues but I think he puts America first in his own way.
“Putting Saudi Arabia first” some would say.
Knowing what we now know about the British and Russia intel connections to the spying on the President before he was elected, what makes you think that President Bush wasn't set up also by the deep state powers that are now trying to get rid of Trump?
But back on point, your issue is with Brennan, not Bolton. Bolton is the only hard core conservative in the Trump administration that recognizes the real threat from middle east.........
