Full title:
Boeing has FINALLY completed its software fix for the 737 MAX and insists it will be 'one of the safest ever to fly' following two crashes in Ethiopia and Indonesia that killed over 300
--
Boeing says it's completed a software update for its 737 MAX jets, which have been grounded worldwide since March after they were involved in two fatal crashes across a five-month period.

Here’s hoping that in their rush to create a fix they haven’t introduced some other glitch as bad as, or worse than, the original.
If you read it it has to be true.
Microsoft, the guys who now hide their endless fixes in bloatware called “Rollups”. It’s all good.
So, like MS p, it will require weekly software updates.
I’ll think about going on one in 10 years if there is are no other crashes.
I have read that Boeing was going for a total replacement for the 737 along the 787 design type and the final decision was to upgrade current 737 with larger and further forward engines causing more lift on take off and a software fix was put in to compensate for that by pitching down to prevent a stall situation and not knowing this mod caused pilot error.
All on Boeing
“I am grateful this plane will not yet be back in the skies until we are done with our vacation on Memorial Day. I have no interest in catching a 737MAX anywhere.”
I would most happily fly as a passenger on a 737 Max tomorrow with the old system so long as the crew has been properly trained on the system and know the crew knew how to recognize the failure in the old system and then fly the aircraft by hand and how to override the computer system.
It should be noted that all the crashes were third world airlines. Without doubt this same failure must have happened even more often in first world airlines and there were no crashes.
I suspect two causes for these two crashes. First cause is “perhaps” Boeing not giving proper training on the new computer driven system to the airlines and secondly probably inferior pilots on third world airlines. Not proper training on the system is a function of the airlines if they were given proper information from Boeing on the new system. Of this we do not know. What puzzles me is only one angle of attack indicator driving a critical system with no redundancy.
#6 If they pay the upgrade fee.
The Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS) flight control law was designed and certified for the 737 MAX to enhance the pitch stability of the airplane so that it feels and flies like other 737s. ... particularly at slow speeds and high angles of attack (AOA). https://airlinerwatch.com/how-mcas-system-of-boeing-737-max-works/
Thats already happened.
Ah yes, the 727ski! But looks were deceiving.
Not only that,
I read it on the INTERNET
So it has to be at least as Golden as:
“Trump colluded with Russia to steal the election from HilLIARy”
Not only did I read it on the INTERNET, but I read it on FReeRepublic even
So it must be PLATINUM
Flawed: Why the Boeing 737 Max Should Be Permanently Grounded

The above referenced thread’s comments were reasonably divided between
1) The author’s an idiot and has no idea about what he’s talking and
2) Boeing may have ‘screwed the pooch’ big time this time.
That percentage of comfort/discomfort doesn’t do Boeing any favors
So is this a Boeing or Honeywell created kludge?
Both as I read it PLUS DHSfbi sticking fingers in it. !!!
My keyboard does’t have an “ATL” key anywhere. Does it mean my plane will crash if I don’t have it?
I would still check any future flight i may take to see if its going to be a 737Max, if so I’ll change it.
I think this will now be the safest plane ever.
Ever.
It is just a shame it was (apparently) not 100% right to begin with.
Umm, I doubt it. Its my guess that the plane will be phased out, just sort of be allowed to disappear due to low demand. As I understand it the plane is fundamentally a flawed design that will not safely fly without its fly by wire software. Kinda like the stealth bomber aka flying wing which is impossible to fly without constant computer adjustments.
Yes ... Good.
Now have the entire Boeing executive staff and their families take a round the world flight on one of their newly updated jet liners to prove everything is AOK.
